Prep Hoops Predictions:
1.Berea HS – Can Savion Brown Savion Brown 6'2" | CG Berea | 2022 State SC lead the way this season for the Bulldogs ? Berea HS finished (13-7) and (8-1) in region play last season.
2.Blue Ridge HS – Justin Bailey Justin Bailey 6'1" | PG Blue Ridge | 2022 State SC is back and headed to USC-Upstate next season.
3.Powdersville HS – Kidd Brizek Kidd Brizek 6'6" | SF Powdersville | 2022 State SC is back in the mix along with some really good underclassmen.
4.Southside HS (Greenville) – George Crossman George Crossman 6'3" | SG Southside | 2023 State SC will have to carry the Tigers along with Dyterrious Williams Dyterrious Williams 6'4" | PF Southside | 2022 State SC . Super sophomore Jermaurhiyun Anderson Jermaurhiyun Anderson 6'2" | PG Quality Education | 2024 State NC left for the Hoop State and now attends Quality Education Academy.
5.Palmetto HS (Williamston) – The Mustangs finished (3-14) last year.
6.Carolina Academy – It could be another long season for the Trojans who finished (1-9) last season.
Justin Bailey Justin Bailey 6'1" | PG Blue Ridge | 2022 State SC (2022) – Blue Ridge HS – Prep Hoops Preseason Region Player of the Year
Bailey can really score the ball from backcourt for the Blue Tigers. Justin averaged 25.5 ppg last season and ran this past summer on the Grassroots Circuit with Upward Stars SE 3SSB Southeast 2022. Bailey can really get the ball downhill and score it quickly.
Savion Brown Savion Brown 6'2" | CG Berea | 2022 State SC (2022) – Berea HS
Brown has been a model of consistency over the years for the Bulldogs program. Savion ran the past few summer with Team South Carolina on the Grassroots Circuit. Brown has a way to score the ball and create his own shot.
Jaheim Dodd Jaheim Dodd 6'5" | PF Berea | 2022 State SC (2022) – Berea HS
Dodd plays wide receiver / defensive end currently on the football team. Dodd showed some really good glimpses this past summer on the Grassroots Circuit with Team South Carolina. Dodd has a blue collar mentality and toughness at times on the basketball court.
Kidd Brizek Kidd Brizek 6'6" | SF Powdersville | 2022 State SC (2022) – Powdersville HS (Piedmont)
Brizek has made his way over to Powdersville HS after playing last season at nearby Legacy Early College. Kidd a rangy forward can play inside-out on the floor and brings a good wingspan to boot. Kidd is versatile to handle the rock at times in open floor. Brizek ran with Team Forrest this past summer on the Grassroots Circuit.
Dyterrious Williams Dyterrious Williams 6'4" | PF Southside | 2022 State SC (2022) – Southside HS (Greenville)
Williams will back you down in the paint and really post a defender up. Dyterrious has a thick frame and a great set of shoulders on his broad body. Williams has a soft set of hands to and really does a good job keeping the ball up when receiving down low.
Zach Skinner (2022) – Blue Ridge HS
Skinner averaged 13.1 ppg from the backcourt last season for the Fighting Tigers.
George Crossman George Crossman 6'3" | SG Southside | 2023 State SC (2023) – Southside HS (Greenville)
Crossman can really knockdown shots on the perimeter. George plays football in the fall for the Tigers as wide receiver. Crossman likes to set up shop out in the corners.
Nick Sweet Nick Sweet 6'3" | SG Powdersville | 2024 State SC (2024) – Powdersville HS
Sweet a 6’2 shooting guard has a nice stroke from the perimeter. Sweet and Assemian were able to team up and play with Upward Stars SE 3SSB Fagan on the Grassroots Circuit this past summer.
Hayden Assemian Hayden Assemian 6'8" | PF Powdersville | 2025 State #186 Nation SC (2025) – Powdersville HS
Hayden is a name to know in the 2025 class that’s for sure. Hayden excels on the football field as a Quarterback and on the hardwood as a Power Forward. Assemian has a great set of hands and does a excellent job of finishing around the basket. Hayden is for sure one of the top players in the 2025 Palmetto State Class in both sports.
