I’m pulling out my crystal ball after one week and assessing what South Florida prospects are already making a major jump. I believe the following players will only validate my assumptions as the season rolls along.
Dante Allen Dante Allen 6'5" | SF Riviera Prep | 2025 State #57 Nation FL – Riviera Prep (Watch list)
2025 Dante Allen Dante Allen 6'5" | SF Riviera Prep | 2025 State #57 Nation FL is listed on our watch list as of now. Well, I watched the 6-foot-5 forward over the weekend and he looked fantastic. Allen ran the floor like a guard and knocked down multiple jumpers and 3-pointers. Allen played with poise and finesse from start to finish. He did not look rattled or too big for the moment. Allen has the frame to be a mismatch problem in any predicament. I would safely put him as a top 10 prospect in his class.
Esteban Lluberes Esteban Lluberes 5'10" | PG Riviera Prep | 2022 State FL – Riviera Prep (PH.85)
Man, Esteban Lluberes Esteban Lluberes 5'10" | PG Riviera Prep | 2022 State FL played like a top 40 player in his class at the Sunshine State Preseason Classic. The 5-foot-10 point guard never gave up an inch on defense and found ways to score routinely. Lluberes has a compact frame and can hold his own against bigger players (6+). He has a tough mentality and puts his body on the line for 32 minutes. Lluberes just has a championship level mantra about him. He is the type of player you win with.
Jason Mark Jason Mark 6'5" | PF Coconut Creek | 2022 State FL – Blanche Ely (PH. 424)
There is just no way Jason Mark Jason Mark 6'5" | PF Coconut Creek | 2022 State FL will end up ranked at this spot at seasons end. The 6-foot-5 power forward has too much strength and ball skill. Specifically, Mark is efficient around the belly of the paint. Most opponents can’t defend his measurables and upward burst inside ten feet. In addition, Mark has raw power to rebound and create space in traffic. I believe he is highly underrated.
Darius Tigner Darius Tigner 6'3" | PF American Heritage | 2022 State FL – Blanche Ely (PH. 281)
Darius Tigner Darius Tigner 6'3" | PF American Heritage | 2022 State FL made consecutive plays inside over the weekend. The 6-foot-4 forward was efficient and used his big frame for putback attempts. I would foreshadow his efficiency around eight feet to be high all season based on his performance over the weekend. Tigner is simply reliable as a scorer or rebounder, particularly on the offensive end.
Others:
Guilherme Tesch Guilherme Tesch 6'8" | SF North Broward Prep | 2023 FL PH. 31
Dwayne Wimbley Jr (Watch list)
Ian Smikle Ian Smikle 6'9" | C Suncoast | 2024 State FL PH. 54
