Region 4 Champions: American Fork High School
American Fork has a really well balanced team. With the addition of Noah Moeaki Noah Moeaki 6'4" | CG American Fork | 2022 State UT to the team after he sat out because of injury last year they will have some pieces that are not accounted for. Aaron Dunn Aaron Dunn 6'8" | C Spanish Fork | 2025 State UT has been playing solid minutes and he has kept it simple. There are a lot of pieces that are just doing their part and it can equate to a long run in the state tournament. Impressed with Yaw Reneer Yaw Reneer 6'5" | CG American Fork | 2022 State UT and his ability to really effect the game at both ends of the floor. When he is consistent there might not be a team that can beat AF. Then you look at their PG a veteran in Evan Young Evan Young 5'11" | PG American Fork | 2022 State UT who can do so many things besides score. American Fork will be tough.
Region 4 MVP: Tyler Burraston Tyler Burraston 6'4" | SG Corner Canyon | 2022 State UT || Corner Canyon High School ||
This kid has major game and he is one of the bet shooters in the state. This Fall we witnessed him hit 10 three-pointers and they were not just standing alone against terrible competition. Tyler has size at his position at 6’4 and the kid just spreads you out and can make you pay in various ways. Corner Canyon is a legit team to fear with him on a wing or in the corner.
Offensive Player of the Year: Dylan Jones Dylan Jones 6'6" | SG Westlake | 2022 State UT || Westlake High School ||
While the region is no stranger tp Dylan he has switched schools but his role remains the same. Shoot three’s and make them. We have seen a different Dylan who is committing to both ends of the floor. Dylan is part of a team that is scrappy defensively which will lead to easy buckets for him. Keep an eye on the scores as he will light it up.
Defensive Player of the Year: Yaw Reneer Yaw Reneer 6'5" | CG American Fork | 2022 State UT || American Fork High School ||
Yaw has the ability to switch all 5 positions. He is physical and he uses his body to push bigger defenders off the block and he can move his feet against the speedy guards. Yaw has the ability to guard at the Division 1 level. Great looking big guard that embraces the defensive end.
Most Improved Player: Aaron Dunn Aaron Dunn 6'8" | C Spanish Fork | 2025 State UT || American Fork High School ||
With more time on the floor Aaron has turned the corner in his development and we thing that that trend will continue as he is big and strong. Aaron gets deep position on the blocks which makes him a tough guard. Aaron is running the floor and doing the little things. He will be much improved from anything we have seen before.
