Continue ReadingThis fall we released our latest rankings for the classes of 2022, 2023, and 2024. What if you took those classes and did an overall ranking regardless of class? This is what they would look like! Once again this is a ranking based on college potential not what their impact will necessarily be this year in high school. This is our Illinois Top 50 Prospects Regardless of Class!
Today we unveil prospects #41 – #45!
#41 Jalen Griffith Jalen Griffith 5'9" | PG Simeon | 2023 State IL (Simeon – 2023)
Last Year’s Rank: #33
Griffith is a smaller point guard that is the leader of the Wolverines from the point. Quick and shifty playmaker that is so much fun to watch. He gets stuff done with his handles penetrating the defense where he loves to use his runner game along with kicking to teammates for open shots whether in the paint or from beyond the arc.
#42 Tevonta Jackson Tevonta Jackson 6'1" | PG Roosevelt | 2023 State IA (Springfield Lanphier – 2023)
Last Year’s Rank: #36
Jackson is an electric lead guard from central Illinois. Thin and wiry build that has great speed in the open floor being able to push with the best of them and convert at the rim with acrobatic layups. Jackson is primed for a big season for the Lions.
#43 Dylan Arnett Dylan Arnett 6'9" | PF DePaul Prep | 2022 State IL (DePaul Prep – 2022)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Arnett is headed to UW-Milwaukee next season. What are they getting? A five man with good size, strength, and skill. Also showed more athletic pop in the paint when we saw him in June. Can stretch with his pick/pop ability along with being a very good area rebounder.
#44 Zach Cleveland Zach Cleveland 6'8" | PF Normal West | 2022 State IL (Normal Community – 2022)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Cleveland is another D1 senior post commit who has committed to Liberty. He elevated his stock with a strong junior campaign and continued that momentum into the spring on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Face up four that can put it on the deck and use his athleticism around the rim. Very good offensive rebounder that is quick to the glass for second chance points.
#45 Wesley Rubin Wesley Rubin 6'7" | PF Homewood Flossmoor | 2023 State IL (Simeon)
Last Year’s Rank: #44
Rubin is a well built four that is super skilled. His passing is his best quality as he dices up defenses either from the post or high-post with his distributing. Rubin can score with low post moves and is an excellent area rebounder.
