The Ohio Valley Hoops Classic is where I’ll be for the opening weekend of basketball in Ohio. To get fans ready for the action, I’ll be previewing all the top prospects to watch in each game.

Lakota West Vs Franklin: Franklin has a senior duo of Nate Paarlberg Nate Paarlberg 6'6" | PF Franklin | 2022 State OH and Noah Rich Noah Rich 6'6" | SF Franklin | 2022 State OH that gives the Wildcats experience and talent in their starting lineup to rely on. Lakota West has a stud Junior in Nathan Dudukovich Nathan Dudukovich 6'3" | SG Lakota West | 2023 State OH and lots of new faces on varsity. This will be an exciting game to open the weekend with.

St Xavier Vs Olentangy Liberty: St Xavier returns Louie Semona Louie Semona 6'7" | PF St Xavier | 2022 State OH and has a lot of role players that impressed me over the summer. After a great season in 2020-21, we’ll see what Mike Noska has in store for an encore. For Olentangy Liberty, they said goodbye to a great senior class but they have some talent around Toledo commit Cooper Davis Cooper Davis 6'5" | SG Olentangy Liberty | 2022 State OH .

Fairfield Vs Richmond Heights: In the marquee contest of the opening day, Fairfield has a balanced and experienced squad against Richmond Heights who has a great balance of size, youth and experience. Mason Vs Tri-Village: The school with the largest enrollment in the state is taking on a Division IV public school in the final game of the day. Mason has young talent like Ben Menker Ben Menker 6'4" | SF Mason | 2024 State OH with senior Alex Morton Alex Morton 6'2" | SG Mason | 2022 State OH as a returning starter. Tri-Village returns a majority of their production from last season and should be one of the top Division IV teams in the state.
