With so many teams and so much high level talent, I have broken down the standouts into different regions and parts within the regions to make following easier.
We take a look at part two of the standouts in VA, which featured three teams in Fork Union, Hargrave and Massanutten.

Leland Walker Leland Walker 5'11" | PG North Central | 2022 VA | 6’0” PG | Hargrave 2022
Walker is the type of point guard that you want on your team, as he’s tough as nails and loves to compete and comes up big when his team need him to. He suffered a leg injury late in their win over Woodstock, and despite not shooting it well for most of the game he gutted it out and made plays down the stretch and was the main reason they closed the game out and won it. He’s super crafty off the bounce, lives in the lane and is an excellent playmaker and creator for others. He finished the event averaging 16.5 points and 5.5 assists per game.
Madison Durr | 6’5” WG | Hargrave 2022
Durr is a very intriguing prospect with his size and ability to score the basketball in a number of ways, which was on full display in their win over Woodstock before fouling out. The 6’5” guard has great length and can play on or off the ball, he can make tough shots from multiple levels and knows how to get to the free throw line. He finished their win with 17 points and 5 rebounds, and averaged 13 points per game on the weekend.
Christian Moore | 6’1” PG | Hargrave 2022
The former Cape Henry standout and state champion is part of a four guard system that Hargrave runs, and he plays both on and off the basketball but is probably their best pure shot maker. The 6’1” guard showed that he can spot up and knock down shots, make shots on the move and create space off the bounce and score it that way too. He brings it on the defensive end too, and he averaged 9.5 points on the weekend but showed he can score it in bunches when he gets it going.
Kanye Clary Kanye Clary 5'11" | PG Massanutten | 2022 State VA | 5’11” PG | Massanutten 2022
The Penn State commit showed he’s one of the top guards in post grad basketball at an event that was loaded with guard talent, as he got wherever he wanted to off the bounce and was excellent scoring it in the midrange and at the rim. He’s very shifty with the ball in his hands and is able to change speeds and create space, he has good footwork when he gets in the lane and he’s able to score over bigger defenders. He finished with 26 points and took over in their double overtime win over Vermont Academy Friday, and he had 18 points in their very close loss to Cushing Academy Sunday.
Luke Triggs | 6’7” PF | Massanutten 2022
Triggs stepped up big on the weekend and made a good impression to college coaches as he was productive and efficient on the offensive end, and was active and physical on the defensive end. The former PVI standout is a versatile forward who is able to score it in the post and step out and play on the perimeter, he can guard multiple positions and he doesn’t make many mistakes. He averaged 14 points per game and was very efficient going 11-for-19 on the weekend.
Troy McKoy | 6’5” WF | Massanutten 2023
McKoy made a big impression at the biggest event of the season as the strong 6’5” forward showed good versatility and shot making ability, and he even hit the game winning free throws in their double OT win over Vermont Academy where he finished with 19 points. He’s able to make shots from deep, he’s strong enough to finish around the rim and he can guard multiple positions. He finished the weekend averaging 16.5 points per game and was 5-for-12 from deep in two games.
