Shawn Brown (Curie – 2023)
Curie is always so deep and has quality guard play. Brown is a prospect that caught our attention in their opening win. Rangy defender that also is a capable shooter. Should be a quality rotational guard for the CPS power.
Bryson Hodge (Rockford Guilford – 2022)
Big night for this Rockford Guilford 6’0” shooting guard against Larkin as he netted 25 points in the loss. Was effective scoring from all three levels. Got to the rim for scores with an array of finishes while also bombing in three triples.
Zack Schroeder Zack Schroeder 6'2" | SG Metamora Township | 2022 State IL (Metamora – 2022)
Schroeder stood out early in the week for Metamora. The 6’3” shooting guard is crafty with the ball scoring on nifty conversions and euro steps. Nice small college prospect.
Tyson Swanson (Metamora – 2023)
Swanson was one of the biggest breakouts of week one. The 6’2” shooting guard regularly posted 20+ a game in all three Metamora contests we saw from TOC. Has a knack for scoring in the paint off the bounce along with being a capable shooter.
JaiQuan Holman (Springfield Lanphier – 2025)
Holman emerged for the Lions in his debut. The freshman is a sharp shooter at 5’11” that has deep range on his three point shot. One to watch to see if he grows and how his all-around game develops.
Isaac Mapson (Washington – 2022)
Mapson is a low post presence that was clearly the go to player for Washington. At 6’6” he isn’t the biggest vertical threat rather using positioning and skill on the block for points. Very nice small college prospect.
Kamar Whittaker (Kankakee – 2022)
This Kankakee undersized post stands at 6’5” with the ability to stretch the floor because of his shooting as he drained an array from distance in his 17 point performance.
Justus McNair (Joliet West – 2024)
McNair was the name that caught our attention the most in opening week. With all the talk for their highly touted freshman McNair might fly under the radar but the angular 6’1” combo guard can really shoot it off the catch from three and is slippery through traffic. Bright future!
Bradley Longcor (Quincy – 2025)
There are several Quincy young prospects we could have put here. Longcor stepped up in the fourth quarter scoring 7 points in his debut. Projectable guard that has range on shot and can create.
Robert Pulliam (Moline – 2022)
Pulliam caught our attention with his athleticism. Excelled in transition and getting to the cup scoring with big dunks and euro steps. Also mixed in a mid-range jumper.
