Cannon: DJ Nix DJ Nix 6'7" | SF Cannon | 2022 State #211 Nation NC (2022) & Austin Swartz Austin Swartz 6'5" | SG Cannon | 2024 State #40 Nation NC (2024)
Nix and Swartz return after winning yet another NCISAA 4A State crown in 2020-21 looking to win yet another title in 2021-22. Swartz is a much-improved scorer and distributor that’s put on a few pounds of muscle over the summer months. Nix looks prime as ever to take over as the primary scorer though Karon Boyd Karon Boyd 6'6" | PF Cannon School | 2022 State NC will take some pressure off of him.
Greensboro Day School: Nikolas Graves Nikolas Graves 6'3" | PG Greensboro Day | 2022 State NC (2022) & Jaydon Young Jaydon Young 6'4" | CG Greensboro Day | 2023 State #206 Nation NC (2023)
With both guards healthy to kick off the 2021-22 season, things are set to look up for Greensboro Day School. They’re already off to a 1-0 start with a 72-38 victory over GRACE Christian. Graves is an unselfish guard with a ton of weapons around him to distribute to including Young, who can get to the rim and knock down shots on the perimeter. Young holds offers from Charlotte, App State, Western Carolina and a few others which should grow.
Charlotte Christian: Bryce Cash Bryce Cash 6'5" | CG Carmel Christian | 2023 State NC & Cade Nicholson Cade Nicholson 6'4" | SG Charlotte Christian | 2023 State NC (2023s)
Cash and Nicholson are two prospects in North Carolina’s 2023 class set to show their growth as a unit in 2021-22. Cash has already shown he can lead the way and be the floor general for the Knights but he’ll need Nicholson to show off his shooting prowess. He’s a 6-foot-4 prospect with nice length that finds ways to score with and without the ball in his hands.
Carmel Christian: Logan Threatt Logan Threatt 6'3" | PG Carmel Christian | 2022 State NC & Cade Tyson Cade Tyson 6'6" | SG Carmel Christian | 2022 State NC (2022s)
Threatt joins the Carmel Christian rotation looking to bolster their scoring and perimeter attack with what he can do. He’s a combo guard that can do damage this season with his athleticism and IQ for playmaking. Tyson will be a matchup problem on the wing at 6-foot-7 with his ability to create on the perimeter and back down smaller opponents on the block. The Belmont basketball commit is set to be a versatile threat in the Carmel Christian rotation with Threatt running the show at point guard.
Metrolina Christian: CJ Harrist CJ Harrist 5'11" | CG Metrolina Christian Academy | 2022 State NC & Blair Crumbie Blair Crumbie 6'2" | CG Metrolina Christian Academy | 2022 State NC (2022s)
Harrist and Crumbie are two gritty guards that return after productive 2020-21 seasons with Metrolina Christian Academy. Harrist is an emerging guard in the 2022 class with the ability to make plays for himself and others on all three levels. Crumbie is a strong guard that plays with a ton of energy on both ends. Harrist holds offers already from Ferrum, Mary Baldwin, and Warren Wilson.
