Brady Titus Brady Titus 5'10" | PG Tri-Unity Christian | 2022 State MI 5-9 2022 Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian (pictured at top of article) This is both a single day and cumulative award. Titus posted not only an impressive performance on Saturday. He has been a dominanting presence on the entire fall showcase circuit in general. Highly competitive player who just wants to win. Started off slowly in the three point shooting competition. I was sitting next to another scout and said “he”ll be there at the end.” Sure enough he walked away with the title. Kept up his strong competitive play throughout the day. I have written it before and I’ll write it again. With the exception of elite size has everything you want in a point guard prospect.
Joe Francis Joe Francis 6'4" | SG Adrian | 2022 State MI 6-4 2022 Adrian Francis has a reputation as a shooter. That did not come to fruition on Saturday. However the fact that he still made his presence felt shows you how much his game has expanded. You can add slasher to the description of his game now. Made multiple impressive plays out in transition and above the rim. Added bulk to his lengthy frame aids in his increased playmaking around the rim. Coming off a good summer with M&M Boyz. Francis should cap an impressive career with a big senior season for the Maples.
Ben Canty Ben Canty 6'4" | SF Bloomfield Hills | 2022 State MI 6-5 2022 Bloomfield Hills Like Francis, a long skinny shooter who didn’t quite have it falling on Saturday. Also like Francis showed a lot of potential as a playmaker. Especially in transition. Had a impressive one handed flush that I thought was the dunk of the day. Showed deceptive strength by being active on the glass. Even more difficult to defend as he is left handed. Looking forward to seeing how he fits in at a deep Bloomfield Hills program next to 2023 standout point guard Noah Adamczyk Noah Adamczyk 6'0" | PG Bloomfield Hills | 2023 State MI
Trey Kolakovich Trey Kolakovich 5'10" | CG Croswell-Lexington | 2023 State MI 5-11 2023 Croswell-Lexington Speaking of standout 2023 point guards. Kolakovich has had a similar run to Brady Titus Brady Titus 5'10" | PG Tri-Unity Christian | 2022 State MI on the fall showcase circuit. Competitive all over the state. The Thumb area player continued to do his thing in the Motor City. Not a speed merchant or a long range marksman. This is the definition of a power point guard. Accomplishes this with a thick upper body and strong legs. Highly competitive all day both offensively and defensively. Speaking of competitiveness. Kolakovich has that one thing you can’t measure. He loves to play the game. From out of state AAU events to community college elite camps. If a gym is open this young man is playing.
Tyler Hamilton 6-0 2022 River Rogue I was initially inclined to include Hamilton in a list of new names for an upcoming column from the camp. However his outstanding play warrants placement in the upper echelon of camp performers. Hamilton faced off against Titus in the finals of the three point shooting competition. Then kept competing with the highest ranked player in the camp throughout the day. In addition to the shooting is a good ball handler who got to the basket with ease throughout the day. Not the tallest prospect but this is offset by a strong sturdy frame. A little off the radar as he has spent the past two years at Spire Institute in Ohio. He is now at River Rogue. How he fits in at this deep program with a new coach will be interesting.
