Continue ReadingThe Indiana high school season is right around the corner and we at Prep Hoops Indiana will be out and about to cover nearly the entire state all season long. With the season about to start, it is now a good time as any to preview the players that will be showcasing their talents all year. Today, we take a look at a few 2024 PGs to watch for.
K.J. Windham K.J. Windham 6'3" | PG Ben Davis | 2024 State #137 Nation IN – 6’1 – Ben Davis: As the top PG currently in the 2024 class, Windham comes in with a ton of eyes on him already. He is a lefty that can score in so many ways with playmaking ability all over. Lots coaches took notice of him this past summer playing for Meanstreets EYBL 2024 and he has already taken visits to Northern Kentucky and Butler. He will likely be running the show for Ben Davis this fall. Offers should come sooner than later.
Josiah Dunham Josiah Dunham 6'0" | PG Evansville Christian | 2024 State IN – 6’0 – Evansville Christian: Dunham is a tough lead guard with the skill and mindset to play at a high level. Did not see much of him over the summer but he did have a great showing at the IBCA Top 100 Showcase in June. Recently just got an offer from hometown college University of Evansville, which should be the first of many to come. Guy just has a great feel for the game and he is going to get better and better.
Joey Schmitz Joey Schmitz 6'2" | PG Center Grove | 2024 State IN – 6’1 – Center Grove: Schmitz is a calm, composed player that plays like a true lead guard that can also provide scoring at a consistent level. One of the better defensive players we have in the 2024 class and plays with a lot of pride on that end. He should slide right into a major role for Center Grove this season and I think long term he is going to develop into a more consistent combo guard. Offers and visits should be on the way soon.
Jevon Lewis Jevon Lewis 5'9" | PG Fort Wayne Wayne | 2024 State IN – 5’9 – Fort Wayne Wayne: Lewis is a smaller lead guard that is quick and has consistent offense 15ft and in. Although his outside shot struggled a bit during his freshman year, it looked much more improved at the Indiana Top 250 this past September. Not much news about Fort Wayne Wayne this offseason but Lewis has a big opportunity to get some more looks and eyes on him. Expect a huge year for Lewis this fall/winter.
Zeke Tanoos Zeke Tanoos 6'4" | SG West Vigo | 2024 State IN – 6’3 – West Vigo: Tanoos is a breakout player that has some legit perimeter ability. He is a taller PG right now but I think long term he is going to be more of a combo guard that can create on and off the ball. He is a little under-the-radar right now playing for the smaller West Vigo. Tanoos has the tools to be one of the most improved players we have in the 2024 class. Will for sure be ranked in our next 2024 update.
