Looking toward Saturday, it’s exciting to think about a few of the players that we will see in action. Let’s take a look at some of the athletes that will be at the Flight Hankamp Scrimmages.
Elliot Addleman (2022, F, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
Addleman will be counted on for his rebounding and intimidating play in the post. He’s an athletic player that can get to the rim.
Chibi Anwunah (2022, C, Plymouth Christian)
Anwunah won’t be playing this weekend due to an injury, but I included him anyway because college coaches will want to be aware of this young man. He can physically dominate under the rim.
Trisin Beagle (2023, G, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
Beagle is a floor general that will have an impact on both ends of the floor. He’s a high upside player.
Jalen Awasika (2022, G, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore)
Awasika will be a key player for Lake Shore. His experience and defense will be relied upon greatly.
Jalen Jackson (2022, PG, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore)
Jackson will be one of the most explosive players in the gym on Saturday. He’s a fast twitch guard that flat out makes plays when the ball is in his hands.
John King (2023, PG, Ferndale University)
King is a solid guard that will be fun to watch. He has good handles and a nice mid range game.
Chris Kendrix (2023, Ferndale University)
Kendrix has created some buzz and I’m excited to watch him play for the first time.
Jacob McKelvey (2022, G, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
If you like watching guys that grind and hustle, here’s your player. He’ll be a leader on the defensive end and will win hustle points.
Davin Pearson (2022, G, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore)
I really like Pearson’s quickness. He has the ability to beat his opponent to a spot on the floor.
Nate Pierson (2023, CG, Plymouth Christian)
Pierson will be a valuable piece to the puzzle for Plymouth Christian. He’s an excellent shooter with range.
Jordan Scott (2023, PG, Plymouth Christian)
Scott has a lot of upside at the lead guard position. He can handle and create room for his jumper as well as attack the rim and find teammates.
Evan Southerland (2024, CG, Plymouth Christian)
Southerland is a young talent to keep an eye on. He’s a dependable plus defender.
Brandon Summer Brandon Summer 6'2" | CG Lenawee Christian | 2024 State MI (2024, G, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
Summer is an underclassman with a very bright future. He’s a versatile guard and can fill it up from beyond the arc.
Tyler VanEtten (2022, G, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
Van Etten will not be in action Saturday, but he deserves to see his name here. He’s a tough 2 way guard that will have a very solid senior season.
Cam Weller (2023, F, Plymouth Christian)
Weller can be found in the paint on Saturday to cover the absence of Anwunah. That being said, he has the look of a stretch 4 or even a 3. Weller could really be a tough matchup.
