As a top player in North Dakota this year, and a Northern State basketball commit, Fargo Davies guard Ian Motschenbacher Ian Motschenbacher 6'1" | PG Fargo Davies | 2022 State ND has plenty to accomplish during his senior season. As a junior the Eagle averaged 16.8 points, 4.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and 38 three pointers made per game. Those numbers making him a unanimous all-conference selection in the Eastern Dakota Conference. in terms of skills Motschenbacher has next level moves while driving in the lane, can shoot from beyond the college three point line, finishes well through contact, and has no problem fading away in the mid range. Ian is truly a player that has the potential to lead the Eagles to the promise land this year, and draw a suitable crowd while doing so.
Isaac Cody Isaac Cody 6'3" | SG Fargo North | 2022 State ND – 6’3″/G – Fargo North
One of the three seniors that will be leading the Fargo North Spartans this upcoming season is guard Isaac Cody Isaac Cody 6'3" | SG Fargo North | 2022 State ND . A tall point man who as a junior averaged 6.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. Not to mention recording 100 assists and having multiple games with three or more made shots beyond the arc, not an easy thing to accomplish while playing on the JV team to start the year. Some attributes that impress about Isaac include his ability to see the floor and make incredible passes, finish well in traffic with the off-hand, and have a high basketball IQ leading him to understand the Spartan offense well.
Jalen May Jalen May 6'3" | SF Fargo North | 2022 State ND – 6’3″/F – Fargo North
Next for Fargo North we’ve got senior big man Jalen May Jalen May 6'3" | SF Fargo North | 2022 State ND . Last season for the Spartans he put up 9.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, with about half of his boards coming on the offensive end. May plays the stretch four role nicely, spreading out the floor well and having a good looking shot from range. Those skills being put on display by his 28 made three pointers, positioning on the court, and willingness to play his roll for the team.
Luke Loberg Luke Loberg 6'4" | SF Fargo North | 2022 State ND – 6’4″/F – Fargo North
Rounding out the trio of Fargo North seniors is forward Luke Loberg Luke Loberg 6'4" | SF Fargo North | 2022 State ND . A guy who in his junior campaign put up 9.7 points and 6.3 rebounds a game, while shooting 46% from the field. Some things that really stuck out to me about Luke while watching him was his all around play style. As a player Loberg is a smooth three point shooter, tough defender, skilled finisher with both hands around the rim, good ball handler, aggressive driver, and experienced player in the post. All things that the Spartans will need him to replicate at an even higher level as a senior.
Tyler Kraft Tyler Kraft 6'2" | SG Shanley | 2022 State ND – 6’3″/G – Shanley
Looking to lead the Shanley Deacons as a senior this year is Tyler Kraft Tyler Kraft 6'2" | SG Shanley | 2022 State ND . A skilled guard who as a junior put up 8.5 points, 2.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 34 made threes on the season. Not only do I expect these numbers to increase for him this year, but I expect them to double. Kraft is a long guard who possesses a smooth jump shot, is a skilled driver, moves well without the ball, and makes the right passes. He has all of the right tools to play at the next level, and will undoubtedly be a force during his senior campaign.
