Prep Hoops Missouri continues its conference previews with a look at the Summit Conference. The league features Hartville, which has won back-to-back state championships in Class 2 and Class 3. The Eagles are starting over after graduating class from those two championship teams, but the system and a great tradition remains. Norwood was the Class 2 state runner-up last season and they return the top player in the league.

The Starting Five

Garrett Davault Garrett Davault 6'2" | SG Norwood | 2022 State MO 6’2" Norwood: "Garrett DaBuckets" is one of the top offensive players in Southwest Missouri. The 2022 guard was an All-State selection after averaging 26 points a game in leading Norwood to the Class 2 state championship game.

Bryce Hambelton 6’3" Gainesville (pictured): A 2022 forward who was an All-Conference selection last season. He is a potent scoring threat in the low post with his big body and excellent shooting touch around the basket.

Tom Emerick 6’5" Mansfield: A 2023 forward who was an All-Conference selection last season. He averaged 15 points and eight rebounds a game as a sophomore.

Payton Bryant 5’8" Seymour: A 2022 guard who was an All-Conference selection last season. He returns after averaging 12 points a game as a junior.
