Meyer averaged 12.6 points a game last season and followed up with a great summer with the Barnstormers. Meyer has good shooting abilities and is very long and athletic. The 6’4″ forward has been very entertaining to watch the last two years, expect the same thing this year.

Montezuma | 2022
State
IA
(2022) | 6’4″ C | Montezuma – Burgess recently committed to Upper Iowa to play football, but returns to the court for the 1A defending champs. Alongside Trey Shearer and Cole Watts last season, Burgess averaged a double-double with 13.2 ppg and 12.7 rpg. Burgess is very efficient on offense, shooting an impressive 70.3% from the field. At 6’4″, he often dominated down low, getting good shots on offense, and contesting a lot of shots on defense.
Leo Dodd Leo Dodd 5'11" | PG Janesville | 2022 State IA (2022) | 5’11″ G | Janesville – Dodd led the entire state in assists with 208, so we already know Dodd has excellent court vision and excellent passing ability. Dodd is very handsy on the defensive end as well, leading the Wildcats with 68 steals. Janesville only graduates a couple of starters, bringing back three of their top four scorers. Dodd was the third leading scorer last year with 7.8 points a game. He may not come out and lead the team in scoring, but look for Dodd to up his scoring a little bit and also be at the top of the assist column again.

Anamosa | 2022
State
IA
(2022) | 6’2″ F | Anamosa – Wilt led the Raiders in almost every category last year with 12.5 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 3.5, apg, 3.2 spg, and even 2.0 bpg. Wilt does it all for the Raiders, on both sides of the ball. Wilt’s length and athleticism make it easy for him to get to the hoop. He is a better scorer around the rim than from deep but will step out and shoot. On the defensive side, Wilt is a great on-ball; his length makes it easy to tip and steal passes and can get up to block shots. Look for Wilt to lead the Raiders again this year.

Beckman Catholic | 2022
State
IA
(2022) | 6’0″ G | Dyersville Beckman – After senior guard Mason White got hurt last season, Goedken stepped up and played very well for the Blazers. Goedken was more of a facilitator last season (4.0 apg), but is going to need to step up and score for the Blazers this upcoming season. Goedken is a very smart player; he always makes good passes and has good court vision. Goedken has a smooth jumper and has the ability to get hot from three.

, Delzell is in a good spot to produce for Camanche. Delzell has a quick release and is able to knock down shots. On the other side of the ball, you can count on Delzell to play hard and get a hand in passing lanes.
