Therefore, picking five players +1 was not easy.
Let’s give it a shot…
Kolby King Kolby King 6'2" | PG Pembroke Pines | 2022 State FL – Pembroke Pines Charter
Pembroke Pines Charter picked up quality wins against Riviera Prep and West Oaks Academy and 2022 Kolby King Kolby King 6'2" | PG Pembroke Pines | 2022 State FL was one of their leaders. The St. John’s commit can accelerate to the rim on a dime and finish. Moreover, his handle in these situations is crisp and tough to track. King is fantastic recognizing and attacking the rim in motion. Against Riviera Prep, King scored 24 points and knocked down multiple 3-pointers. He will be tough to stop all season.
Guilherme Tesch Guilherme Tesch 6'8" | SF North Broward Prep | 2023 FL – North Broward Prep
I thought few prospects were better all-around than 2023 Guilherme Tesch Guilherme Tesch 6'8" | SF North Broward Prep | 2023 FL . The 6-foot-8 wing is highly athletic and can defend multiple positions. Specifically, I thought his horizontal movement and on-ball defense was fantastic on the perimeter. On offense, his vision to make a pass and shooting from the outside was unmatched. Tesch is on the rise in South Florida.
Alexander Lloyd Alexander Lloyd 6'4" | SG Westminster | 2025 State #64 Nation FL – Westminster Academy
2025 Alexander Lloyd Alexander Lloyd 6'4" | SG Westminster | 2025 State #64 Nation FL had a bit of a coming out party at the classic. The 6-foot-3 guard scored 23 points and knocked down four 3-pointers opening night against Miami Southridge. Lloyd has incredible bounce and a strong handle in the open floor. In addition, he can dribble penetrate and get to the rim with ease. I was very impressed with his shooting, particularly from deep. Lloyd did not hesitate when left open and has a natural stroke.
Osmar Garcia Araujo Osmar Garcia Araujo 6'7" | PF Lanier | 2023 State GA – Riviera Prep
2023 Osmar Garcia Araujo Osmar Garcia Araujo 6'7" | PF Lanier | 2023 State GA is a good sized forward with above average athleticism. The 6-foot-7 prospect is fundamentally sound in transition or around the basket. Specifically, he has good footwork, vision, and coordination around the rim. Moreover, Garcia Araujo can use his big body to create space in the paint. He appears to be getting more athletic as he looked great in transition. He is a D-1 prospect in my view.
Adrian Cruz Adrian Cruz 6'3" | PG Sagemont | 2022 State FL – Sagemont
2022 Adrian Cruz Adrian Cruz 6'3" | PG Sagemont | 2022 State FL had 28 points, five assists and five rebounds in a 33-point victory over Cardinal Gibbons. I thought it was a great performance for the former Miami Southwest star. The 6-foot-3 Cruz is a three-level scorer and used his big frame to create off the dribble. The Lions moved the ball well on the Chiefs and Cruz was a big reason.
Cayden Boozer Cayden Boozer 6'5" | PG Columbus | 2025 State #28 Nation FL – Miami Columbus
I must include Boozer in this list after a great performance against Suncoast. The 6-foot-3 guard was relentless scoring at the rim and finished with 18 points. Boozer commanded the floor and seemed to always be in the right situation. You can credit his superb handle and basketball IQ for that. Boozer is one of the best freshman in the country.
