The first one being that many fans/students have been missing basketball. The scene at Lehi High School as Westlake students basically took over the gym was absolutely insane. We hope to see more student section atmospheres like that because the players on the floor feed off of that energy.
6A Takeaways
American Fork High School is good. They might have lost Jaxon Kohler due to transfering to Southern California Academy but that transfer has been good for a few players on the floor that have stepped up their game like Yaw Reneer Yaw Reneer 6'5" | CG American Fork | 2022 State UT and Evan Young Evan Young 5'11" | PG American Fork | 2022 State UT . look for a few other players step into bigger roles as the season progresses.
Lone Peak might not be the household name it use to be but they just have a bunch of players that can switch and play hard.
Westlake High School is a different beast with Dylan Jones Dylan Jones 6'6" | SG Westlake | 2022 State UT on the team as he can really spread the floor and he had himself a play as a defender had to close out hard out on the three and he blew by him and finished above the rim with a dunk.
Farmington High School is good especially when they get solid play from their young players like Paul Beattie Paul Beattie 6'9" | PF Farmington | 2024 State UT . Collin Chandler Collin Chandler 6'5" | CG Farmington | 2022 State #28 Nation UT is the real deal and he took it easy on East. They’re going to tough.
Pleasant Groves McCaden Adams McCaden Adams 6'3" | CG Pleasant Grove | 2022 State UT is a player that needs to be recruited. He is really good. He plays hard and he is just a gamer that plays on both ends of the floor. Really tough to matchup with him.
Tough Play
Sam Sivulich Sam Sivulich 5'11" | PG Northridge | 2022 State UT || Northridge High School || 2022 ||
Despite the loss sam showed he can score the ball.
Hunter Schenck Hunter Schenck 6'2" | PG Weber | 2024 State UT || Weber High School || 2024 ||
Hunter looked comfortable playing and he has a solid 15-foot jumper. Look for him to find his role and really help Weber get some tough wins.
Luke Moir Luke Moir 6'6" | SF Copper Hills | 2022 State UT || Copper Hills High School || 2022 ||
Luke might end up being a problem roaming around the floor and in the paint. He finds the ball and finishes. Helps free up his teammates and catches the ball on rolls.
