There were 28 players in attendance with four teams of 7 players on a team. Each team played each other one time and all the games were very competitive.
I don’t follow the middle school hoop scene, but many in attendance thought that there were many of the top 2026 players in the state that they knew of competing.
Here were the top seven performers I viewed: (Many of the players are undecided where they will attend HS next year)
Cameron Holmes Cameron Holmes 6'5" | SF Millennium | 2026 State AZ Millennium
One of the top players is a bigger wing shooter from the 3pt line with deep range. He shoots it best off the catch and is a stud in transition with high flying dunks. He is lefty dominant but is still hard to contain. He is a good passer and plays multiple positions on defense. His finishing in traffic is next level stuff.
Kalek House Kalek House 6'2" | CG Desert Mountain | 2026 State AZ N/A
A very good defender handles the ball like a point guard and is another one who finishes at a high level in traffic. He can make the catch-3 and is a big time rebounder for his position. He is a good passer and can score it off the dribble from the 3 or mid-range. The younger brother of Jaelen House has his fire to defend.
Kaden House Kaden House 6'3" | CG Desert Mountain | 2026 State AZ N/A
A long guard who is an elite defender for his position. He is a great rebounder, he blocks shots, locks up opposing players and rebounds out of his area. He can get downhill using his long strides and euro his way to the cup. He can step through and score it through contact. He can hit the mid-range plus a catch-3. He really has an all-around game for his class with Jaelen House’s ferocity on defense.
Mason Magee Mason Magee 6'0" | PG Basha | 2026 State AZ N/A
The top pure point guard went through stretches making it look easy. He sees plays developing in a blink of an eye and throws dimes all over the court. He has impeccable timing on his passes and makes all the correct reads. He has a tight handle with speed and quickness. His left hand is just as effective as his right. He can hit the catch-3 plus create his own shot. He has the euro and the floater once he bursts into the lane scoring with his left or right hand. He is very tough on the ball defensively with long arms.
Malachi Henningham Malachi Henningham 6'5" | PF Fairfax | 2026 AZ N/A
A powerful forward is Deandre Ayton’s cousin. He is strong as an ox. He loves getting into the lane and thundering down dunks in traffic. He handles the ball fairly well and has ridiculous strength. He goes up quickly to dunk the ball. He can also hit shots from mid-range and extend it to the 3pt line. He gobbles up all rebounds in his area and nearly impossible to stop in middle school.
Joseph Lindsey Joseph Lindsey 5'10" | PG Mountain Pointe | 2026 State AZ N/A
A flashy point guard with a big time handle. He can create his own shots and make it from mid to the 3. He threads the needle and will repeatedly drive and kick it out to shooters or find cutters. He also made two half court shots at the buzzer to top off his strong play.
Tory Gholston Tory Gholston 5'11" | PG Coolidge | 2026 State AZ N/A
A talented scoring guard has a shifty handle. He gets downhill easily and he is highly confident. He can drive and kick it out to shooters and can also pull-up off the dribble and score it. He is a capable catch-3pt shooter and a good rebounder.
