Some key players have moved teams in the offseason and will be looking to make an impact at their new squads. Here are the top 2024 transfers that are set for success in 2021-22.
Tarik Watson Tarik Watson 6'7" | PF Hillcrest Prep | 2024 State AZ / Jaiden Glover Jaiden Glover 6'6" | SG Patrick School | 2024 State #57 Nation NJ , Roselle Catholic
Watson and Glover are a pair of talented transfer prospects that should make an impact with the Lions in their debut seasons. The former can put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket and uses his strong frame to draw contact. Glover is an athletic wing prospect who can knock down jumpers from distance and finish above the rim. Both players have the potential to defend multiple positions with their combination of length and athleticism. Watson and Glover will help Roselle Catholic in a big way this season as the Lions look to take home the potential final Tournament of Champions title this season.
Quinfang Pang Quinfang Pang 6'8" | PF Christ the king | 2024 State #290 Nation NY , 6’9 PF St. Benedict’s Prep
Maurice Vassel is another candidate, but Pang is set for a strong season with the Grey Bees. The Patrick School transfer is quite comfortable with the ball in his hands as he has a nice handle and has shown the potential to bring up the ball at times. Pang has a nice release on his jumper and his range extends past the three-point line. He uses his length to block shots on defense and skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Pang is a skilled stretch-4 prospect who will have a big impact with St. Benedict’s this season.
Alex Konov Alex Konov 6'7" | PF Manasquan | 2024 State NJ , 6’7 PF Manasquan
Konov had a solid summer with Team Rio University and is looking to parlay that into a strong debut season for the Warriors. The Wildwood Catholic transfer has a good shooting stroke and can knock down jumpers in bunches. Konov is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He is an underrated rebounder and moves well within the offense. Konov’s chemistry with Ryan Frauenheim Ryan Frauenheim 5'10" | PG Manasquan | 2024 State NJ , Darius Adams and Griffin Linstra will help his transition process as Manasquan looks to take home another Shore Conference title this season.
Jalen Sams Jalen Sams 6'3" | SG Morris Catholic | 2024 NJ , 6’3 SG Arts
The Jaguars are a young squad with the potential to break out and the addition of Sams helps them nicely. The 6’3 guard moves very well off the ball, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers. Sams has a nice touch around the basket and can draw contact in the lane. He has the length to defend both back court spots and is an underrated passer. Sams’ combination of length and athleticism is something that will help Arts in a big way this season.
London Carson London Carson 6'4" | CG Elizabeth | 2024 State NJ , 6’1 PG Elizabeth
The Minutemen needs someone to replace All-State performer Al-Fatir Connor in the back court and Carson looks to be that guy. The St. Thomas Aquinas transfer has a nice handle, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finish around the basket. Carson is more than just a slasher as he has a nice release on his jumper and can knock down jumpers from distance. He is a tough on-ball defender as he knows how to move his feet and has quick hands. Carson is a gritty guard prospect who should help Elizabeth be one of the better teams in Group 4 this season.
