Ray Aragon Ray Aragon 5'9" | CG Pueblo South | 2023 State CO – Pueblo South
Ray Aragon Ray Aragon 5'9" | CG Pueblo South | 2023 State CO is a small guard who plays with a chip on his shoulder. Being a smaller guard Rau has to work hard on the court to prove himself. He is definitely a guy you notice every time he is on the court due to his great energy and hustle. Ray is very quick this allows him to jump passing lanes on defense to start fastbreaks. On those fastbreaks, you can bet he will be one of the first guys down the court and when at the rim he is a creative finisher who can contort his body to get the best look at the rim. Back on the defensive end, Ray is a player who likes to get under opposing players’ skins, he is a straight annoyance to whoever he is matched up with.
Alexander Baldessari Alexander Baldessari 6'4" | SF Douglas County | 2023 State CO – Douglas County
Alexander Baldessari Alexander Baldessari 6'4" | SF Douglas County | 2023 State CO is a player to look out for to have a breakout season. Alexander is a great shooter who can shoot on and off of the dribble. With his great height and quick footwork, he is a player who is hard to contest. He gets his feet set very quickly and is always ready to shoot the ball. Moving off of the ball Alexnader is great at wrapping around screens and finding open spots on the floor. Alexander is one of the few players left who still often uses the mid-range to his advantage making him an unpredictable player to guard. The new transfer to Douglas County will look to make an immediate impact.
Caden Stevens Caden Stevens 6'8" | C Mountain Vista | 2023 CO – Mountain Vista
Caden Stevens Caden Stevens 6'8" | C Mountain Vista | 2023 CO has had a breakout summer where he has proven to be one of the top big men in his class. Caden has great height standing at 6’8 and very lengthy arms. His height combined with quick footwork and great defensive timing makes him a great rim protector. Caden moves very well for a big man and can put the ball on the floor a bit, this catches defenders by surprise as he often blows by other big men off of the dribble. At the rim, Caden is a good finisher who is creative when moving the ball out the way of defenders and at times throws down monster dunks. When posted up Caden uses his length well and can drop in hook shots over defenders’ heads.
Zach Bowen Zach Bowen 6'6" | SF Mountain Vista | 2023 State CO – Mountain Vista
Basketball runs in Zach Bowen Zach Bowen 6'6" | SF Mountain Vista | 2023 State CO ’s blood as his father, Ryan Bowen, was a former Denver Nugget, and his brother, Ben Bowen, is playing at the University of Wyoming. The game seems to come just naturally to him. Zach has great height for a wing standing at 6’5 and can do everything asked out of a wing. He is a great slasher who has a creative set of euro-steps to allow him to finish at the rim. Zach also can finish above the rim with head-turning dunks. This Mountain Vista squad will be a team to lookout for this year with a lot of ’23 talent.
