Deon Williams Deon Williams 6'7" | SF San Antonio Brennan | 2022 State TX 2022 6’6 Brennan High School
Deon is an athletic rim running forward who dominates on both ends of the floor. I loved seeing him use his size to seal his opponents and get easy looks for himself. He has a plethora of shots he can get to on the block and is a dominant and consistent finisher in the post. He knows that if he flashes to the rim his guards will get him the ball which makes him run and work that much harder to get easy looks for himself. I would like to see him work on being a stronger post defender and it was a shame he got a foot injury that forced him to miss the last two games of the tournament!
Henri Vizcarrondo Jr 2022 6’7 Shoemaker High School
Henri was a standout forward at the showcase for his ability to dominate in the paint on both ends of the floor. He was dominate rejecting shots at the rim, collecting rebounds or running the floor for easy looks in the paint. He is a fantastic rim runner who knows how to stay in his lane when running the floor and clear space for his guards if they attack the rim. I was very impressed at how dominant he was in the paint. I would like to see him become more confident with a live dribble and begin working on scoring from the mid-range and becoming a better floor spacer. Vizcarrondo Jr was voted to the All Showcase Team at the 2021 San Antonio Spurs High School Showcase.
Zaire Williams 2022 6’5 East Central High School
Zaire was a dominant forward for his ability to clear out defenders and reject shots. He had a handful of blocks but mostly struck fear into the other team by his frame and athleticism. He has great leaping ability and seemed to sky for rebounds, consistently finish, or reject shots at the rim. He had a good nose for the ball and finished with a few tip ins. He was very impressive at the showcase and even knocked down clutch free throws to seal a victory for his team.
Cole Ramseur 2022 6’5 Warren High School
Cole is a very intelligent big man who knows when to pick his spots. He scores with ease on the block and with his back to the basket allowing him to seemingly pick apart defenses from the mid-range in. It was very fun watching him score and dominate the paint. Even with two other big men, he was patient at knowing when to attack the basket or take the simple fifteen footer. His ability to move around and do it all for his team allowed his coach to go with a starting lineup of essentially three power forwards.
