Last season’s rebounding leader at 10.8 rpg – Marquis “Mookie” Cook – has moved on to play his junior season in Arizona – but several others are back to hit the glass and hopefully lead their squads far into the post-season.
Jonah Jones Jonah Jones 6'4" | PF Westside Christian | 2023 State OR (2023 Wells) – 9.8 rpg – #3
Jones has been one of the top rebounders in 6A since his freshman year and the reason why is because he’s a quick leaper. That has allowed the 6-foot-4 forward to play a little bit bigger than his height and while the Guardians have added some size to help out, he should still remain one of the top board men in the state.
Kavon Bradford Kavon Bradford 6'2" | CG Benson | 2023 State OR (2023 Benson) – 9.7 rpg – #4
Bradford is arguably the best inch-for-inch rebounder in the state. At 6-foot-2, he uses his length and quick leaping ability to grab boards on both ends and on defensive rebounds, is more than capable of snaring the ball and either bringing the ball up the court himself or firing it up to a teammate streaking to the hoop.
Dallon Morgan Dallon Morgan 6'9" | PF Sprague | 2022 State OR (2022 Sprague) – 9.0 rpg – #7
The closest thing to a true big returning as a rebounder is Morgan, who usually does his glass work on the defensive side of the ball as offensively he’s positioned more on the perimeter. Still, he uses his 6-foot-9 size to his advantage and should once again be one of the state’s top rebounders in 2020-21.
Caden Harris Caden Harris 6'4" | SG Summit | 2022 State OR (2022 Summit) – 8.5 rpg – #11
Summit doesn’t have a true big so that allows Harris to rack up the stats when it comes to rebounding. It’s not a surprise as the 6-foot-5 wing has the strong body and atheticism to go and get boards as needed for the team. While not necessarily a priority, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him get into the double digit range his senior year.
Bryce Dyer Bryce Dyer 6'5" | PF North Medford | 2022 State OR (2022 North Medford) – 8.3 rpg – #13
While his numbers were down a little last year from the previous season, Dyer remains one of the top rebounders in the state. The 6-foot-5 forward simply knows how to use position to his advantage and his motor helps him be really effective especially on the offensive glass.
