2023 Soren Dalan Soren Dalan 6'10" | C W.F West | 2023 State WA | 6’10 C | WF West HS
I was really impressed with Soren. For a player his size and age, he moves his feet well laterally and he runs the floor. He did a good job all weekend of sealing his defenders and getting good position for post entry passes. Defenders tried front and playing behind, but Soren knew how to use his body and make himself a target. He didn’t get a ton of blocks but he altered a lot of shots and forced misses just from his presence. Really good scoring touch over his right shoulder. Stock riser is 2023.
2023 Kobe Parlin Kobe Parlin 6'1" | CG Mark Morris | 2023 State WA | 6’1 CG | Mark Morris HS
Although Kobe didn’t shoot the 3 ball well this weekend, he showed other parts of his game that will translate to the next level. He is a strong guard that can take bumps and finish through contact. He isn’t phased by physical defenders and he does a good job of handling pressure. He isn’t afraid to go amongst the trees; he goes and gets rebounds on both sides of the ball. He gets to his spots for middy pull-ups and hits it consistently.
2023 Jared Sucher | 6’4 SG | Sherwood HS
Good size for a two-guard. He doesn’t look athletic, but he has sneaky hops. He put down some windmill dunks in warm-ups. I was most impressed with his ability to create scoring opportunities for himself. He has a good handle that frees him up to shoot his jumper. It looks a bit unorthodox but it’s smooth and goes in. He can shoot it off the catch and dribble. The buzz is growing around him for sure.
2023 Jaedyn Brown | 6’2 SG | Pullman HS
Long and skinny frame, but plays tough. Jaedyn moves well without the ball and is a major threat from deep. He has a quick release on his shot and can really get going from deep. There was a stretch in Game 1 this weekend where he made 3 straight threes.
The young bucks…
2024 Devin Whitten | 6’0 SG | Curtis HS
Solid frame and size. Devin has a long wingspan which he utilizes on the defensive end. He’s a solid on-ball defender and gets a lot of deflections off the ball. Offensively, I really like him as a shooter. He has a smooth shot from deep and it’s consistent. He can attack closeouts, too. Definitely a player to keep an eye on.
2025 Leyton Martin | 5’9 PG | Arlington HS
In every game this weekend Leyton was one of the smallest players on the floor, but he always stood out. He possesses a high-level passing ability, and he has a solid handle to get where he wants on the floor. Defenders tried pressuring him to speed him up, but Martin stayed poised and initiated the offense or drove by and made a play. He has some crafty finishes in his bag and is a capable three-point shooter; he had back-to-back threes in Game 1. He is a scrappy on-ball defender. He didn’t back down from one match-up all weekend. Excited to see more of him.
2025 Isaiah Cunningham | 6’2 G | Rainier Beach HS
Good size for his age already. He’s a fearless rim attacker and is constantly keep pressure on the defense in transition. He has a decent shot and hit some nice pull-up jumpers in the mid-range. I was most impressed with how he competed on the defensive end. He played physical, kept guys in front, and was diving on the floor for 50/50 balls.
