2022 Tijan Saine Tijan Saine 5'10" | PG Mariner | 2022 WA | 5’10 PG | Mariner HS
Tijan is a scrappy PG with a bulldog mentality. Winning means something to him and I loved the way he competed this weekend. He is shifty and lightning-quick with the ball which helps him get by his defenders at will. He plays downhill and seeks contact at the rim. Shooting doesn’t seem to be his strongest skill, but he shoots it well enough to keep the defense honest. He gets his teammates good looks, too.
2022 Ethan Martin | 6’0 CG | Arlington HS
Stocky guard with a tight handle. He got by defenders whenever he wanted to this weekend. He also hit a few dribble pull-up jumpers. He showed patience when leading the break and found guys for easy looks. Solid on-ball defender.
2022 Jaxon Nap Jaxon Nap 6'5" | SF Hazen | 2022 State WA | 6’7 SG | Hazen HS
Big guard with a nice handle. He didn’t make as many shots as I am used to seeing, but the game looked easy out there for him. He created space and got to the rim when he felt like it. I didn’t realize how good he finished in the paint with his off-hand. It’s easy to see why he’ll be joining the Montana Grizzlies next season.
2022 Stephen Behil | 6’5 SF | Camas HS
One of the better shooters at the event. Stephen has a quick release. Match that with his size and high release point, it’s hard for defenders to contest late. Unless he is going for a rebound he doesn’t touch the paint much; he plays to his strengths and floats the perimeter. He can attack closeouts in straight-line drives occassionally.
2022 Tyler Hays | 5’9 PG | Kelso HS
Big-time motor. Tyler competes every possession, hustles for 50/50 balls, and fights through screens; he does all the little things that don’t show up on the stat sheet. He is a quick defender and is good on the ball. Offensively, he did a nice job of handling pressure all weekend and initiating the offense for his team. He had some crafty finishes and nice pull-ups in the paint, too.
