These players below have plenty in common but what sticks out is they are gym rats and all have a motor that does not stop. They can all get hot from beyond the arc and put up points in a hurry. I can’t wait to see what they will do in High School. Let’s take a deeper look:
Benny Fragela Benny Fragela 5'11" | SG Columbus | 2025 State FL 6’2 G – Columbus High School – I have seen this young man play since he was in 3rd grade and man does his game continues to grow. Benny is usually the hardest worker in the gym and has really mastered the art of shooting. Benny is known throughout the travel basketball circuit and now will be ready to set the nets on fire for his upcoming freshman season at Columbus. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone that could outduel Benny shot for shot as he shoots a very high percentage from the field and forces the opposing coach to quickly make adjustments. There is no doubt Benny is amongst the best shooters in his class.
Shon Abaev Shon Abaev 6'7" | CG Calvary Christian | 2025 State #24 Nation FL 6’5 G – Miami Country Day – Shon who already holds Division 1 offers from Florida Gulf Coast and St Johns is a handful on the court. He has a high release and is 6’5 which makes him tough to defend. He can score quickly and gets to his spot without hesitation. Shon had a huge summer on the travel circuit and now will make a big impact as a Freshman this upcoming season. There is no doubt he is not only one of the best shooters but one of the best overall players in the 2025 class.
Kaden Ferguson Kaden Ferguson 6'2" | PG Bolles | 2025 FL 5’10 G – Jacksonville Bolles – Kaden is a solid overall guard who can shoot lights out. He is very quick and moves great without the ball. Kaden shoots at a high percentage beyond the arc and has a quick release. He plays with high energy and will be a name to continue to watch in the 2025 class. Kaden is looking to make a big impact this upcoming season for Jacksonville Bolles.
Christian Maxon Christian Maxon 6'2" | CG Fort Pierce Central | 2025 State FL 6’0 G – Fort Pierce Central – We all need to get used to seeing the “Maxon Twins” being talked about all season long in the basketball world. They will be amongst the top players in their class without a doubt. Christian is coming off a great travel season where he was playing 17u as an 8th grader. Christian was scoring double digits with ease against some of the best competition in the state. Christian is one of the best shooters I have seen and I have been around the game a long time. I expect both brothers to get a ton of attention from Colleges this upcoming season.
CHRISTOPHER MAXON CHRISTOPHER MAXON 6'1" | PG Fort Pierce Central | 2024 FL 6’0 G – Fort Pierce Central – This may be one of the best backcourts in the area and keep in mind they are only freshmen. Christopher like his brother played 17u most of this past summer and lit up the scoreboard with ease. Christopher never stops moving on the court and will hurt you from a variety of ways. This young man lives in the gym and lives on a shooting machine so it is no surprise why he is included on this elite list.
