Evan Clayton Evan Clayton 6'4" | SG Arcadia | 2022 State AZ 2022 (pictured above)
Just call Evan Clayton Evan Clayton 6'4" | SG Arcadia | 2022 State AZ “3E” because this guy is a legit 3 level player. He can get to the rim and finish over the top of defenders. Clayton’s mid-range game is second to none, and he can dial it up from long distance with pin point accuracy! His basketball IQ is just as impressive as his skill set. Clayton was great with the ball in his hands, an adequate ball handler who can get where he wants on the floor. Recognizes mismatches for himself and his teammates and makes the right play when put in those situations. Clayton sent the gym into a frenzy with an insane reverse dunk right on top of the defenders head…plus the foul! This kid is legit, and I see a bright future for Evan “3E” Clayton.
Jaylan Robinson Jaylan Robinson 6'2" | SG Hamilton | 2024 AZ 2024
The south paw is a very raw player but the tools are there. Long, wiry and athletic with a hunger to be great! Handle is decent but make no mistake about it he can get where he needs to on the court. Strong finisher at the rim and can do it in a variety of ways. Has great touch on the floater, and made some tough lay ups in traffic resulting in a couple of and ones. A capable defender with long arms that disrupts ball handlers with his length. Doesn’t shoot the 3 much but made a few when it counted in two tight games. If Robinson continues to improve, which we all expect him to, I can see him cracking the state rankings. We’ll be keeping our eyes on this one.
Eddie Moo-Young 2022 (NV)
Easy Eddie is definitely someone that we need to keep and eye on, as he made the trip down I10 from Nevada to be a part of the showcase. Young is a solid all around performer. An above average athlete that knows how to play the game. He was great at picking his spots on the floor where he knew he’d find success for himself and teammates. Big heart to match his big game, transformed “sin city” to “win city” as he was a major contributor on a very good team that included another stud in Evan Clayton Evan Clayton 6'4" | SG Arcadia | 2022 State AZ . Young plays within himself and that’s what makes him so good. Add some range to his jump shot and maybe, just maybe he goes from good to great!
Rufus Rusholme Cobb Rufus Rusholme Cobb 6'6" | SF Coconino | 2022 State AZ 2022
Cobb is an intriguing player with a diverse offensive game under his belt. Plays beyond his years with his laid back game but he’s so impactful in the stat sheet. He can put the ball in the bucket and he’s decent rebounder for his size, especially on the offense end. A hard nosed no nonsense type of player that has one thing on his mind…getting the W.
Alexander Werner Alexander Werner 6'4" | SF Premier Prep Tucson Academy | 2025 State AZ 2025
One word to describe Werner’s game is electric! This fabulous freshman is highly skilled with a high motor. Has a strong upper body that he uses to finish on post ups as well as in transition. Has a soft touch around the hoop and can step out and make shots consistently with in fifteen feet. If he continues to develop his 3 point shot this young man is going to be a problem for the class of 2025. High ceiling player with a bright future.
