DeAnte Green DeAnte Green 6'10" | PF Asheville Christian | 2022 State #68 Nation NC – 6’10 Forward: Florida State
DeAnte Green DeAnte Green 6'10" | PF Asheville Christian | 2022 State #68 Nation NC , the No. 5 prospect in North Carolina’s 2022 class, is off the board and headed to the Florida State Seminoles in the ACC. The 6-foot-10 versatile forward chose the Seminoles over Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, UNC, NC State and Tennessee. He’ll instantly bolster the frontcourt attack for Florida State and be able to focus his game on developing as an all-around player at Asheville Christian Academy. Green is the third commitment in FSU’s recruiting class, joining big man Cameron Corhen and wing Tom House.
Kheni Briggs Kheni Briggs 6'4" | CG The Burlington School | 2022 State NC – 6’4 Guard/Wing: Charleston Southern
Kheni Briggs Kheni Briggs 6'4" | CG The Burlington School | 2022 State NC is another prospect in the Top 10 of the 2022 class that’s off the board and headed to Charleston Southern. He’s set to make quite the two-way impact in the Big South Conference with his size, frame and skill set. Look for him at The Burlington School to have a big final season as the Spartans look to repeat as state champions. Briggs joins Gaddis Heath, another 6-foot-4 prospect out of Westlake High in Atlanta, Georgia in the Buccaneers 2022 recruiting class.
LJ Thomas LJ Thomas 6'2" | CG Bull City Prep | 2022 #181 Nation NC – 6’2 Guard: NC State
The No. 7 prospect in North Carolina’s 2022 class is off the board. LJ Thomas LJ Thomas 6'2" | CG Bull City Prep | 2022 #181 Nation NC made his decision on schools this past weekend, making his pledge to the ACC’s NC State Wolfpack. He’s an electric guard that likes to get downhill and make plays at the rim with quite the shooting stroke as well. The 6-foot-2 guard is the second commitment in the Wolfpack’s 2022 recruiting class alongside Shawn Phillips Jr., a four-star center prospect out of Dream City Christian.
Christ Essandoko Christ Essandoko 6'10" | C Winston-Salem Christian | 2022 State NC – 6’10 Forward/Center: Providence
The No. 10 prospect in NC’s 2022 class will join his teammate, Quante Berry Quante Berry 6'4" | PG Winston-Salem Christian | 2022 State #189 Nation NC , at Providence at the next level. The 6-foot-10 big man made a big leap this summer on the grassroots scene with Team Curry as an inside-out threat. He’s an international prospect that’s adjusted well to the speed of the game and shown his growth as a defensive presence as well. He’s the third commitment in the Friars’ 2022 class, joining guards Quante Berry Quante Berry 6'4" | PG Winston-Salem Christian | 2022 State #189 Nation NC and Jayden Pierre.
Omarion Bodrick Omarion Bodrick 6'9" | PF Donda Academy | 2022 State NC – 6’9 Forward/Wing: Youngstown State
Omarion Bodrick Omarion Bodrick 6'9" | PF Donda Academy | 2022 State NC is off the board to the Horizon League to Youngstown State. Bodrick ranks No. 28 in North Carolina’s 2022 class. He’s set to make quite the impact as a rim runner and rim protector in the Penguins’ frontcourt. As he gets stronger and more physical down low, look for his star to grow in the Horizon League next fall.
Michael Zanoni Michael Zanoni 6'5" | SG Greensboro Day | 2022 State NC – 6’5 Shooting Guard: Mercer
Michael Zanoni Michael Zanoni 6'5" | SG Greensboro Day | 2022 State NC is yet another 2022 prospect off the board out of Greensboro Day School, making his pledge to the Mercer Bears in the Southern Conference. They’re an up-and-coming program that should bode well for Zanoni’s future as he’s developed into quite the marksman on the perimeter and off the bounce. He’s the No. 32 prospect in North Carolina’s 2022 class that should play quite the role in Mercer’s perimeter scoring attack in the near future.
Corneilous Williams Corneilous Williams 6'10" | C Combine Academy | 2022 State NC – 6’10 Forward: Murray State
Williams is another big man off the board and headed to Murray State and the Ohio Valley Conference. He’s the No. 40 prospect in the 2022 class set to make waves in the Combine Academy rotation as a paint presence and stretch-forward option in 2021-22 now that he can focus on the season. He’s the fourth commit and first big man to commit to the Racers’ 2022 class and joins in-state 2020 name Nick McMullen.
Davis Molnar Davis Molnar 6'6" | SF Terry Sanford | 2022 State NC – 6’6 Wing/Forward: Furman
Molnar is an emerging name to keep an eye on set to make his presence felt at the next level with Furman in the SoCon. He’ll get familiar with Micahel Zanoni (Mercer) as another NC name in the conference. Molnar is a stat-sheet stuffer with his ability to knock down shots, make plays in the paint and use his frame to defend. He’s the No. 45 ranked prospect in NC’s 2022 class and the second wing prospect to commit to the Paladins.
Aaron Murphy Aaron Murphy 6'5" | SF Greenfield | 2022 State NC – 6’5 Guard/Wing: Queens
Murphy is an emerging 6-foot-5 prospect with quite a strong frame and versatility as an inside-out threat. He rebounds the ball in bunches and should add tons of toughness to the Queens University attack with his ability to make plays at the rim. He’s the No. 57 prospect in NC’s 2022 class that’s off the board. He’ll make quite the impact for Queens University as he makes the hours trip to the Charlotte area.
