The fact that passing was one of the most notable all around skills at a showcase says something really great about the players in this state. Let’s look at some of the players that put their ability to dish the ball on display at the Top 250.
Jordan Briggs Jordan Briggs 6'0" | PG Muskegon | 2023 State MI
Briggs is like a wizard with the basketball. He sees players and passing lanes that most just cannot. Briggs is tremendous at penetrating the lane, drawing the defense, and then kicking out to the open man.
Joey Cabana Joey Cabana 6'2" | CG Chelsea | 2024 State MI
Cabana is a prolific scorer and athlete, but he showed more than just that on Sunday. When he drove the lane and the defense picked him up, he flaunted a crisp and accurate kick out pass.
Warrick Elder Warrick Elder 5'10" | PG Jonesville | 2024 State MI
I liked the way Elder came at the defense. His passes had purpose and he was patient and creative with where they were going to go.

Hardy was solid in many aspects of the game at the Top 250. His ability to pass from the post really stood out. He anticipated the action and found teammates.

I’ll tell you what, McKenzie came to play at the Top 250. He was feeding the post with precision the entire afternoon and evening.
Xander Middleton Xander Middleton 6'5" | SG Monroe | 2022 State MI
Between the Flight Hankamp Open Run and the Top 250, Middleton has shown off a very diverse game. On Sunday, it was his ability to push the pace with the pass that impressed me the most.
Grant Pikkaart Grant Pikkaart 6'6" | SF Portage Central | 2022 State MI
Pikkaart stressed the defense in so many ways. He consistently stood on the wing and hit cutters in stride with precision passes. It was exciting to see him excel in this aspect of his game.
Mason Struck Mason Struck 6'6" | PF Chesaning | 2024 State MI
Struck sees the floor really well, especially for a 4. He makes some really good dump passes in the lane to teammates in scoring positions.

Sydnor III showed some impressive flash when he was passing the ball at the Top 250. His most impressive pass was a showtime behind the back pass for an assist.
