First things first, the Panthers should be a top 5 team in Miami-Dade County. 2022 Jimel Lane Jimel Lane 6'7" | PF Palmetto | 2022 State FL (Mater Academy Charter) and Braylon Burbridge Braylon Burbridge 6'2" | PG Miami Palmetto | 2024 State FL (Sagemont) transfer in to give this team added firepower. In addition, 6-foot-5 Anthony Salazar Anthony Salazar 6'4" | SF Archbishop Carroll | 2022 State FL moves over after stops at Champagnat Catholic and Archbishop Carroll. Alex Soto Alex Soto 6'6" | SF Florida Christian | 2024 FL also joins the Panthers from Doral Academy.
Key players/roster:
2022 Jimel Lane Jimel Lane 6'7" | PF Palmetto | 2022 State FL
2022 Anthony Salazar Anthony Salazar 6'4" | SF Archbishop Carroll | 2022 State FL
2024 Alex Soto Alex Soto 6'6" | SF Florida Christian | 2024 FL
2024 Ethan Louis
2022 Warner Davis Warner Davis 6'1" | CG Miami Palmetto | 2022 State FL
2023 Cooper Josefsberg Cooper Josefsberg 6'4" | SG Rivera Prep | 2023 State FL
2024 Braylon Burbridge Braylon Burbridge 6'2" | PG Miami Palmetto | 2024 State FL
2025 Diogo Alves
2024 Josh Lipson
2022 Adam Cohen Adam Cohen 5'10" | SG Palmetto | 2022 State FL
2022 Nick Pineyro Nick Pineyro 6'0" | CG Miami Palmetto | 2022 State FL
2024 Randy Smith
The 6-foot-7 Lane could be the best senior in the area. He averaged 19.9 points and 5.7 rebounds while leading the Lions to a 21-3 record. Lane has size and length to be a factor on both ends. He’s an improved shooter to go along with his natural athleticism. Burbridge comes in with a quick handle and scoring ability off the dribble. I liked how he maintained himself as a freshman with Sagemont. Burbridge does not seem to be phased in high pressure-situations. 6-foot-1 guard Warner Davis Warner Davis 6'1" | CG Miami Palmetto | 2022 State FL averaged 23.3 points per game as a junior. Davis can stretch the floor and provide instant offense with his 3-point shooting ability. He’s a kid that could drop 30 points on anyone.
6-foot combo guard Nick Pineyro Nick Pineyro 6'0" | CG Miami Palmetto | 2022 State FL averaged nearly 18 points per game. He’s quick and not afraid to attack you off the dribble. Overall, the Panthers have a nice group of scoring guards.
6-foot-5 Alex Soto Alex Soto 6'6" | SF Florida Christian | 2024 FL is a scoring forward with mid-range and 3-point ability. I like Soto’s length and versatility in the halfcourt. With the Firebirds, he averaged just under four points per game. I expect a scoring increase from Soto this season.
Cooper Josefsberg Cooper Josefsberg 6'4" | SG Rivera Prep | 2023 State FL is a prospect to watch The 6-foot-3 guard could be the best shooter in the area. Josefsberg played well in fall league games and showed he is another offensive weapon.
Point guard Randy Smith is a newcomer from Atlanta. Smith had a great summer for Team Hardaway and should bring added depth. Smith is highly athletic and very strong. He should provide multiple looks for the Panthers.
Miami Palmetto has a lot of pieces to warrant a high ranking. They can beat you with multiple looks and have length at all positions. The Panthers should be right at the top with Lane leading the way.
