Continue Reading2A is an interesting classification as there are 11 teams that are either Charter School or Private Schools of some sort. Then you pair them up with 11 small school teams that are rich with history and most are rural. This makes for a very divided classification. Four of the last six titles have been won by a private or charter school with only Beaver taking two in that time frame. Don’t expect much to change this year.
- North Summit (13-9) – Treyson Pace Treyson Pace 6'2" | CG North Summit | 2022 State UT is a solid all-around talent over at North Summit and he is a tough guard for 2A teams. He scores inside and out. If he has put time into his outside game he should lead North Summit in scoring this year. He rebounds well and he has good vision.
- Enterprise (15-9) – Enterprise play a tough style of defense and offense they have lost players to graduation but they always have great lower level teams. Enterprise will be tested off the bat as they play Panguitch to open the season.
- Duchesne (12-9) – Duchesne is a team to be feared. Look out for the youngster Parker Crum he is a quick and he can score. Garrett Fabrizio Garrett Fabrizio 6'0" | SG Duchesne | 2022 State UT leads a balanced attack for Duchesne. Branon Torgerson will need to step up and pick up his scoring production and Duchesne will be dangerous.
- Beaver (18-4) – Beaver graduates some good players but they seem to always reload. Conner Crum at 6’2 can play and if he improves his outside shooting he could make Beaver dangerous once gain. Crayton Hollingshead Crayton Hollingshead 6'0" | CG Beaver | 2022 State UT is another returner that will be big for the Beavers.Beaver have all the right pieces and coaching to shoot up the rankings.
- Draper APA (12-7) – Lucas Bacikalo at 6’5 will be a problem for teams to handle especially when a team like APA Draper likes to run up and down the floor. Like their style of play as it is refreshing at this level and classification. Keep and eye on thsi squad and more players that will emerge through the season.
