Coach Marshon Harper is excited about his 2021-2022 team which is talented and has a lot of depth. He feels as though he has key pieces needed to make it to Birmingham, as his team is determined to make a name for themselves this year. Valley is known for their uptempo style of play and defense.
Known as the Runnin’ Rams, Coach believes his style of play will pay dividends for his team this year.
Coach is not going to have to wait to get a gauge on his team as he has some early season match-ups that will test the heart of his team. Two of those games are as follows:
Key Early Season Match-Ups:
Dec. 7 vs Opelika (at Opelika)
Dec. 10 vs. Lafayette (Home)
Even though the season has not begun, Coach knows that his team is talented, but he is still learning his squad. He has been with a lot of the guys a very long time, but as with every team, in the beginning, you’re not sure what you are going to get until the ball goes in the air.
With Eufaula returning a solid squad, Coach knows that getting to the BJCC will more than likely have to take a path thru Eufaula. He is confident that if his team is playing good basketball down the stretch, they will have a shot once the playoffs come around. Night in and night out, the Runnin’ Rams will have to play intense defense and run, run, run, and if they can do that, they just might run their way to Birmingham.
