Jorden Williams Jorden Williams 6'0" | PG Whitfield | 2023 State MO 6’0’ Whitfield: The talented 2023 point guard was one of the most difficult players at the camp to defend. He combined his quickness and shifty moves to break down defenders off the dribble with a feathery touch from 3-point range. The lefty has been consistently knocking down shots from long distance for months and that hot shooting continued on Sunday. Although he can score, he has a nice feel for the game to make others around him better with his all-around floor game.
Javaris Moye Javaris Moye 6'4" | SG Kirkwood | 2023 State MO 6’4″ Kirkwood: The 2023 wing was a smooth bucket in the two games that I watched him on Sunday. He takes what the defense gives him but he also the ability to takes what he wants. He was hitting the 3-pointer while also breaking down defenders off the bounce with his long stride and hesi moves.
Preston Golden Preston Golden 6'4" | SG East Carter | 2022 State MO 6’5″ East Carter: The athletic 2022 wing had an excellent performance as he was able to produce buckets at all three levels. He was one of the most explosive players at the event as he was capable of making plays above the rim. His mid-range jumper was working well as he was able to elevate above good defense to get his shots off.
Brayden Shorter Brayden Shorter 6'5" | SF Springfield Kickapoo | 2023 State MO 6’5″ Kickapoo: The 2023 forward was one of the most impressive 3-point shooters in the camp. He can really stretch the defense with his perimeter marksmanship. He also scored on some on some tough takes to the basket. He also moved without the ball well and was active on the offensive boards.
Andre Aaron Jr. 6’1″ Vashon: The youngest member of the First Team, the 2024 guard was one of the most impressive offensive players at the camp. His quickness, physical strength and shifty moves made him a difficult cover all day. The lefty was slashing into open spaces and hitting defenders with spin moves and change of pace moves to score in the lane. He also hit a number of pull up jumpers.
