There was mainly prep teams from AZ, CO, NM and CA mixed in with one junior college team.
40+ college coaches attended the event giving the players a great opportunity to be seen.
Here were some of the standouts I viewed:
Kamari Lands Kamari Lands 6'7" | SF Hillcrest Prep | 2022 State #65 Nation AZ Hillcrest Prep
A versatile wing who plays the 1-3 and is long to defend all three positions. He is very skilled off the catch or bounce. He can step back on his defender and make a 3 and he is also way more athletic then his opponents realize. However Lands is playing, may decide the outcome of some of their big time opponents this upcoming season.
Keyon Menifield Keyon Menifield 6'1" | PG Phhoenix Prep | 2022 State AZ Phh Prep Post Grad (Pictured)
A three level scorer makes it look easy. He is all about his speed and skill to score from all levels. He can improve somewhat on his 3-ball but everything else is smooth getting downhill, scoring around or above defenders and pull-ups from anywhere on the court. The ball is clearly on a string for this guard and he looks like he is playing at a different speed then everyone else.
Shahid Muhammad Shahid Muhammad 6'10" | C Phhoenix Prep | 2022 State AZ Phh Prep National
An athletic marvel with maybe a 44 inch vertical. He can create a little inside for himself and score in the post. He has a spin move he utilizes in the paint that is highly effective and then he flushes it down with unreal bounce for his size. He flies in the open court gracefully. He is a little thin but rebounds well and he could be a real shot blocker in college.
Paul McMillan IV Paul McMillan IV 6'2" | PG Woodward | 2022 State #229 Nation OH Hillcrest Prep
A scoring lead guard who can make plays plus scores it easily. He has a burst to cup that he smartly uses. He probes the defense to find a teammate or will get downhill in a hurry and he takes contact well. He can shoot from mid to the 3 off the pull or catch and brings leadership to the table from the position.
Deaven Williams SG/CG 6’3 2022 TMG Prep/CA
A natural scoring guard who can shoot it. He can create his own shot and is a bucket getting downhill. He is very good in transition and is a quick second jumper. He stays active all game on both ends of the court to go along with his scoring. He handles it well enough to possibly be a secondary ball handler.
Chris Dockery W 6’5 2022 Middlebrooks Academy/CA
An athletic wing who will defend. He plays hard on both ends of the court. He is asked to do a lot for his team, but he competes the entire game. His shooting from the perimeter is streaky but gets downhill well, plays above the rim and he will defend the 1-4 for them.
Derrick Pranger SF 6’8 2022 Colorado Prep
A bigger wing shooter with a pretty stroke has deep range. He has a sneaky good handle and has a few post counter moves he can use to score it inside. He is a little thin and needs to fill in but he has a lot to like for the future from scoring, shooting and rebounding.
Nate Brown Nate Brown 6'2" | CG Phhoenix Prep post grad | 2022 State AZ Phh Prep Post Grad
A strong lefty can create and plays with a good pace. He is shooting the ball well in recent viewings and seems to make the correct read 9 out of 10 times. He uses his thicker frame to score through contact, but that pretty jumper can be a weapon from mid to the 3 with some range.
