About Lewis: A talented lead guard who has excellent ball-handling skills and limitless range on his jumper, Lewis exploded during the state tournament, helping lead the Dragons to a 4A runner-up finish while showcasing his effortless NBA range. The question with Lewis has always been his size, and while he’s not going to be some 6-5 lead guard, he’s filled out his frame nicely, adding strength to allow him to finish more effectively around the rim. He’s a quick guard with great handles and he’s a knockdown shooter who holds offers from Truman State and Drury.
Why he can win Mr. Basketball: Lewis made his name known to some who didn’t know about him with his performance at the 4A state tournament last season, which gives him some momentum heading into his senior year. While his career numbers are significantly below most of the other players on this list, he has a runner-up finish on his resume already, and if he can help lead Johnston to a 4A title this year, he will garner some consideration.
