With high school basketball season just a couple of months away, we’ll soon be making preseason looks at players, schools and leagues across the state.

But it’s not too late to take a look back at some of the best performances turned in by players who will be back for another go round this fall.

Here are some of the best performances by Topeka 2022s in the Centennial League last season:

Elijah Brooks Elijah Brooks 6'4" | CG Topeka West | 2022 State KS , 6-foot-4 forward, 2022, Topeka West:

Ultimately, the Chargers got to where they wanted to go – the 5A state championships – last year. But it was a bit of a disappointment that they weren’t able to enjoy Brooks’ dynamic play for parts of the season. The athletic guard/wing missed several games with injury, but when he was on the court he turned in some impressive games. Perhaps the best was a 28 point explosion against Hayden. Brooks hit 12-17 shots, including 3-4 from behind the arc.
