St. Rays were able to keep the game close early but Stepinac proved to have too much firepower and eventually pull away for the win.
’24 G Johnuel Fland Johnuel Fland 6'2" | PG Stepinac | 2024 State #13 Nation NY really set the tone early with his ability to effectively play both guard positions. He was able to handle the pressure defense of St. Rays and continue to operate as a playmaker. Boogie shot the ball well throughout the weekend and managed to keep the pressure on defenses.
’22 G Matt Walsh Matt Walsh 6'3" | SF Comsewogue | 2022 State NY did the dirty work in the defensive end and handled the pressure of St. Rays. He was never rattled and continued to make the right play with the ball. The 4.0 student could certainly play at the high academic Division 1 program.
’23 W Isaiah Alexander took advantage of his size on the boards creating second and third opportunities for the offense. He stretched his offense to the perimeter as well connecting from the outside.
’23 F Ben Lyttle helped control the glass with his energy and effort. There was a moment in the game when he chased down a fast break layup and almost got the block. He’s found his nitch and understands his role with the team
