Yuri Manns Yuri Manns 6'3" | CG LC Bird | 2023 State VA | 6’3” CG | LC Bird
Manns continues to impress heading into his junior season, and the way he’s played in the Fall Series he looks like he could be one of the top players in the Richmond area this year. The 6’3” combo guard shot the ball well from deep hitting 6 three’s in two games, he has improved in his ability to create space and play through contact and he’s scored it efficiently and in bunches, averaging 17.5 points per game.
Kris Mickens Kris Mickens 6'5" | CG National Christian Academy | 2023 State MD | 6’3” CG | Fairfax Christian
Mickens continues to look very good and as an intriguing prospect moving forward with his blend of size and athleticism and the way he impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He’s a natural athlete who can play above the rim easily, he can put it on the deck and get downhill where he can finish through contact and he is versatile on the defensive end and has good instincts to jump passing lanes.
Darrel Johnson Darrel Johnson 6'6" | PF Highland | 2023 State VA | 6’5” F | Fairfax Christian
Johnson is another very intriguing prospect who brings it on both ends of the floor for Fairfax Christian and he’s showing good improvement in a number of ways as well. He’s a big and strong forward that can bang in the post and get downhill and finish through contact, he has improved as a shooter out to 18 feet and his ability to play in the paint and on the perimeter makes him a tough matchup.
Dennis Parker Dennis Parker 6'6" | SF John Marshall | 2023 State #89 Nation VA Jr. | 6’6” WF | John Marshall
Parker looks every bit like the nationally ranked player he is, as the wing was excellent on both ends of the floor and shows great playmaking ability with the ball in his hands. He’s good off the bounce both in transition and in the half court, he scored it in a number of different ways and his high motor and athleticism makes him able to impact the game in a number of different ways.
Ty Mason Ty Mason 6'6" | C Bishop O'Connell | 2022 VA | 6’8” PF | John Marshall
Mason is a big addition to this John Marshall squad not only with his good size in the post but his versatility and ability to cause mismatches. The 6’8” lefty is a smooth athlete that can run the floor and finish in the paint, he can step out and make shots from deep consistently and he’s a good paint presence on the defensive end and on the glass as well.
Austin Ball Austin Ball 6'7" | SF Miller School | 2023 State #203 Nation VA | 6’7” WF | Miller School
Ball got off to a little bit of a slow start for Miller, but it didn’t take long for the 6’7” nationally ranked wing to show why he’s one of the fastest stock rising wings in the 2023 class in the nation. With terrific size on the wing as well as good bounce, Ball is able to rise up and knock down jumpers well past the NBA line, he can put it on the deck and get to the rim and it doesn’t take him much to get going.
