With 20 teams on three courts including 18 high school teams and two showcase teams, there was plenty of talent across the board and tons of coaches tuned in and in person there to recruit the talent.
Here’s a look at part two of some of the standouts in the 2022 class at session three.
If you’re interested in watching the replays, you can see the entire event on the CBG Live Network.
Ethan DeLaurier Ethan DeLaurier 6'7" | C Miller School | 2021 State VA | 6’8” PF | Miller School
DeLaurier looks like a completely different player from a few years ago, and the Navy commit finished in double figures in both games while showing good versatility and athleticism. He plays hard on both ends and gets up and down the floor well, he has improved in his ability to stretch the floor and defensively he causes problems with his length and ability to move his feet both on the perimeter and in the post.
Ant Davis | 6’5” WF | Miller School
Davis continues to impress as the recent Fairfield commit brings so much energy and intensity to the floor as well as his athleticism and production rate. He’s excellent in the press with his strength and mobility, he thrives in transition where he can get downhill and finish and he hits the glass very hard on both ends of the floor.
Moussa Berete | 6’5” WF | Carmel School
Berete looked good yesterday for his Carmel squad as the skilled wing showed that he can make plays and score it in a number of ways. He’s long and athletic and has good ball skills as he can put it on the deck and get to spots on the floor to score it, he can make shots from multiple levels and he’s a good athlete who can finish at the rim.
DeJuan Campbell DeJuan Campbell 6'1" | PG Kecoughtan | 2022 State VA | 6’1” PG | Kecoughtan
Campbell continues to show why he’ll be in the CBG Hall of Fame at some point as the Western Carolina commit was as dominant in session 3 as he has been in any of the sessions so far this year. Not only did he score the ball well averaging 17 points per game but he did a great job setting the tone on both ends of the floor, running the show and making plays for others and he brings such a grit and winning style to the game every time he’s on the floor.
Kenny Page | 5’9” PG | Kecoughtan
Page has perhaps been the breakout player in the Fall Series so far this year, as every time he’s been on the floor he’s just found ways to get buckets, this session averaging 14.5 points per game. The 5’9” guard isn’t the biggest guy but he has great length and quick twitch off the bounce, he can get in the lane and has good body control as a finisher and he’s relentless on the defensive end too.
Ashton Pratt Ashton Pratt 6'0" | CG Hayfield | 2022 State VA | 6’1” CG | Hayfield
Pratt brought his A game this session for Hayfield as the x-factor of the Hawks was feeling it early and impacted the game in a number of ways. The 6’1” combo shot the ball well from deep hitting 6 three’s in two games, he was crafty off the bounce and did a good job finishing in the midrange and he made winning and right plays on both ends of the floor.
Walker Andrews Walker Andrews 6'1" | CG Virginia Episcopal | 2022 State VA | 6’0” WG | VES
Andrews is looking like he could be a First Team All VISAA performer this year at VES if he plays anything like he did in this session where he led the team in scoring at 18 points in both games for the Bishops. The 6’0” off guard is a gritty player who will make the hustle plays on both ends of the floor, he’s a big time shooter with deep range that can get hot quickly and he knows how to work off the bounce and get to the free throw line as well.
