Here’s a look at some of the many 2024 prospects that will be in attendance.
Eli DeLaurier Eli DeLaurier 6'8" | C Miller School | 2024 #173 Nation VA | 6’8” PF | Miller School
DeLaurier is looking like a nationally ranked prospect in the 2024 class as time moves on as he already holds a bevy of high major offers including West Virginia, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M among others. The 6’8” forward is long and likely still growing, he’s a natural athlete who can run the floor and finish at and above the rim and he has good touch out to the three-point line. He’s also a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions and plays with a good motor.
Zekhi Darden Zekhi Darden 6'5" | SF King's Fork | 2024 State VA | 6’5” F | King’s Fork
Darden is a very intriguing prospect moving forward on a King’s Fork team that sports a lot of talented players in the 2023 and 2024 class. At 6’5”, he already has the size and athleticism that exceeds most players his age, he plays with a great motor and is able to make energy plays above the rim on both ends and he continues to improve his ball skills that will make him a mismatch on the perimeter.
Kennard Wyche Jr. | 5’6” PG | Varina
Wyche made a name for himself last year with CBG East after Varina’s season was canceled, and he had a good summer playing up on VA Havoc 16U group too. Despite his diminutive size, Wyche is a highly skilled lead guard with a good IQ and playmaking ability, he can make tough shots from deep and in the midrange and he’s a pest of a defender that can guard the length of the floor.
EJ Joyner EJ Joyner 5'8" | PG Peninsula Catholic | 2024 State VA | 5’8” PG | Peninsula Catholic
Joyner, whose Dad is the Head Coach at Hampton University, already has a bevy of division one schools interested in him as he’s one of the most skilled and dynamic guards in the 757. While he isn’t very big he’s extremely crafty and has a very tight handle, he can change speeds and get in the lane at will, he has a great IQ and he can score it from all over the court off the bounce.
Aristeides John Hobson Aristeides John Hobson 6'4" | SG Landon | 2024 State MD | 6’4” WG | VA Academy
Hobson, who plays on the Greece national team, is a budding prospect for this VA Academy that should continue to develop and get division one interest moving forward. He’s grown about two inches and stands a legit 6’4” now, he knows how to work off the basketball and get open and has the European flair to his game and he can absolutely drill it from deep.
Donovan Richardson | 6’5” G | CBG Elite (Collegiate)
Richardson is a budding prospect in the Richmond area who has a very bright future ahead of him with his size and skill set already at a young age. The 6’5” guard is a long and lanky and a natural athlete, he can put it on the deck and get to the rim at will and is a good finisher through contact and he can both create for himself and others off the bounce.
Josiah Rickards Josiah Rickards 6'3" | CG Catholic | 2024 State VA | 6’4” WG | CBG Elite (Catholic)
Rickards is one of the most talented wings in the 757 regardless of class and he’s already getting division one offers and interest with the way he’s played over the past year or so. At 6’4” he’s an all-around wing who has good athleticism, he can put it on the deck and makes plays for others and is unselfish and he can score it from multiple levels with ease.
