There were about 80 players from five states (NM/CA/CO/NV/AZ) who played three games each with 10 teams of 7-9 players on each team.
I thought there was good depth at every age group and adequate competition on every court.
Let’s take a look at every age group’s 1st team.
Here is the 2025 1st team:
Alexander Werner Alexander Werner 6'4" | SF Premier Prep Tucson Academy | 2025 State AZ Cienega (Pictured)
A live body who was one the most active players at the entire camp. He is a put back boss and a rebound chaser. He take the ball off the glass and go coast to coast. He scores it on runners, floaters and literally out worked his opponents.
Adam Hubbard Adam Hubbard 6'4" | CG Canyon View | 2025 State AZ Paradise Honors
A long scoring guard can fill it up with the best of the incoming freshman at this camp. He can pull-up from the 3pt line with range plus uses the floater well. He can catch and shoot or pull from mid range. He also will drive and kick it out to a shooter. He could possibly transform into a CG moving forward.
Hayden Maynard Hayden Maynard 6'0" | PG Pheonix Prep (PHH) | 2026 AZ Odyssey Prep
A high IQ shooting PG plays the game like you should. He makes open 3’s, sprays the ball around to his teammates and he can pull-up from mid to the 3pt line. He may be best off the catch but comes with real range. He has a sneaky burst with the ball in his hands and sees plays developing quickly.
Lex Clontz Lex Clontz 6'3" | CG Cesar Chavez | 2025 State AZ Cesar Chavez
A top shooter is adding wrinkles to his game. He’s getting to the rim better and not settling for just jumpers, making him a tougher cover. He can jump stop in traffic and rise up and score it. He uses his left hand well and his feel for the game is high, as he seems to be able to adjust to situations on the fly.
Jack Egginton Jack Egginton 6'4" | SF Catalina Foothills | 2025 AZ Catalina Foothills
An all-around guard can shoot it a little bit but seems most comfortable getting downhill. He is sneaky athletic to dunk the ball and is a smart player knowing how to use his body in the paint. He makes smart reads with the ball and he will be a good player in Tucson the next four years.
Jordan Lee Jordan Lee 5'9" | PG Santa Margarita | 2025 CA-S Corona del Sol
A point guard with a real burst to blow by his defenders. He can drive and drop off a dime to a teammate. He has a polished floater game but his best current skill is easily his on-ball defense. He continually locked up opposing guards to the point where they would usually give the ball up.
Gerron Jr Graham Gerron Jr Graham 6'2" | PG Premier Prep Tucson Academy | 2025 State AZ SoAZ Volz
A quick pure PG makes plays and he will defend. He rebounds well for a guard and he can score it but prefers to facilitate. He throws the lob pass just about as good as you can to a teammate in stride. His court vision plus his speed and handle with the ball makes his game go.
