The two-day event was hosted at McBride high school with more than 150 prospects from the classes of 2024-2026 in attendance. In this series we’re taking a closer look at the top performers in the “Cream of the Crop” Top 30 game.
Mercy Miller, 2024, Minnehaha Academy (MN) – Miller has an offensive package well-beyond his years and when combined with his fluidity, athleticism and ability to break defenders down off the bounce, he was a tough cover throughout this event. The 6-foot-4 wing, who is already committed to the University of Houston, has a smooth pull-up jumper from both the mid-range level and behind the three-point line. Miller thrived in transition where he outsmarted or overpowered retreating defenders for paint finishes.
Adam Njie Jr Adam Njie Jr 6'3" | PG Cardinal Hayes | 2024 State #197 Nation NY 2024, Eduprize Prep (AZ) – We really liked Njie’s overall command for the point guard position which he showed throughout this event. The 6-foot-2 guard never got sped up or panicked under pressure and knew when to beat his defender with a blow-by and when to advance the ball up the floor to put a teammate in a good position. Njie was effective in the half-court setting where he used his first-step burst to get by his primary defender and into either a crafty finish around the basket or a balanced and smooth pull-up jumper.
Styles Phipps Styles Phipps 6'1" | PG St Mary's | 2024 State #182 Nation AZ , 2024, St. Mary’s (AZ) – The consummate floor general was his typical unselfish self throughout this event, but he turned up his offensive aggressiveness since the last time we saw him. Phipps hit three’s from multiple spots behind the arc, knocked in pull-up jumpers off the bounce and sliced his way through defenses for creative finishes at the rim.
Jovani Ruff, 2025, Long Beach Poly (CA) – Ruff flashed more of his smooth all-around offensive game. At 6-foot-5 the LB Poly freshman is efficient with his movement both on and off the ball. He doesn’t over-handle, uses his length and long strides to cover ground on drives with limited dribbles and understands how to move without the ball to set up an easy pass for an open three-pointer.
Tyran Stokes, 2026, Rancho Medanos MS (CA) – Stokes has a very intriguing skill set for an eighth grader. The 6-foot-5 forward has the ball skills, mobility and passing IQ to lead a fast break and make a good decision with the ball. In the half-court setting, Stokes has inside-out game complete with good footwork and soft touch around the basket and a smooth face-up shot from distance.
