Our latest update expanded the list to 95 players and has seen some movement throughout the list. Here’s a look at the top point in the 2024 rankings. This list does not include players who were already mentioned in the top 10.
Kyran Tilley Kyran Tilley 6'1" | PG Evangel Christian | 2024 State KY , Evangel Christian – Kyran looks forward to new beginnings after transferring from Male last season and moving to 2024 from 2023 this spring. A shifty point with a high IQ and skill level, the move back a class should allow Tilley to add bulk to his frame. At Evangel, he will likely play on the ball as much as off but his true position is at the point.
Jaylan Rigdon Jaylan Rigdon 6'0" | PG Pike County Central | 2024 State KY , Pike County Central – One of the best players in 2024 who doesn’t get talked about enough, Jaylan is a talented lead guard who knows how to get a bucket. With great skill and a quick first step, Rigdon is able to get downhill and get paint touches on offense in addition to being athletic enough to guard on the defensive end.
Shaun Boykins Shaun Boykins 6'1" | PG North Hardin | 2024 State KY , North Hardin – Another sleeper who will need to step up big time this season, Shaun finds himself with a lot more responsibility at North Hardin after the Evans brothers transferred out this summer. Boykins is a very athletic bully guard who gets to the bucket against almost anyone. Look for him to have some big numbers this season for North.
Max Gainey Max Gainey 5'11" | PG Male | 2024 State KY , Male – A two sport star, Max’s future is likely on the football field but he’s a talent on the hardwood too. As a freshman, Gainey moved ahead of older guards and found his way on to the court with his ability to guard and create havoc on opposing guards. Max will be a big piece for Male this season.
Rydge Beverly Rydge Beverly 5'9" | PG Perry County Central | 2025 State KY , Perry County Central – A super solid point guard with a sky high IQ and skill level, Rydge plays a lot like his cousin Braxton (now at EKU). The younger Beverly is a gifted passer who is more likely to make the extra pass than he is to force a shot. Rydge plays hard and keeps the ball on a string with his handle. One of the best in the mountains.
