John Squire John Squire 6'7" | C St. Ignatius | 2023 State CA-N 6’7 of St. Ignatius HS
A fundamentally sound post player that can effect the game on both ends of the court. He has a good inside game, using jump hooks, and jumpers in the key, and will step out to hit a 3 on occasion. He’s a good rebounder actively securing the boards for put backs or to start the transition break. He runs the court, sets solid screens, passes and cuts well going towards the basket. Will have a breakout season. He’s a double-double guy.
Jake Davis Jake Davis 6'9" | C Acalanes | 2023 State CA-N 6’9 of Acalanes HS
Davis an active post player with good skills for the post position. He’s a big target on the low blocks wanting the ball as he move across the lane. He’s a good passer from the low and high posts. His size gives him post presence on defense. He’ll bump, bang and go after rebounds and blocks. He’ll execute the pick and roll, and has an improving 3-point shot.
Prince Oseya Prince Oseya 6'10" | C Modesto Christian | 2023 State CA-N 6’8 of Modesto Christian HS.
The long and slender Oseya is still learning the game, but he’s progressing nicely into a player that will help right away on the defensive side of the ball. He has the length, and bounce to be a shot blocker. He moves well in the post area, and goes after rebounds. He runs the court. His low post game is improving, he’s not afraid to shoot the 3 at the top.
Landon Edmonds Landon Edmonds 6'6" | C Dougherty Valley | 2023 State CA-N 6’6 of Dougherty Valley HS
A big strong post player who’s hard to guard on the block when he gets it going. He’s going to rebound and defend the paint. He’s not superfast but he has the presence and physical play to make those guards think twice driving into the paint. He’ll body up the bigs and make them work for points inside. He’s a key rebounder for a team that likes to get out and run.
Austin Dewes Austin Dewes 6'9" | C Alhambra | 2023 State CA-N 6’9 of Alhambra HS
Dewes standing 6’9 seems closest to being a stretch four in the future. He’s a decent post player with good moves to score inside, but seems most comfortable when he’s playing the wings, where he does a decent job of putting the ball on the floor trying to get to the basket, and looking for his shot behind the 3-point line. His rebounding numbers should tick up, along with his shot blocking.
Trevor Alfstad Trevor Alfstad 6'7" | C Granite Bay | 2023 State CA-N 6’7 of Granite Bay HS
A good sized player who works well in the post. He can hit the jumper in the key, and power it up strong off two. He’s aggressive going after rebounds and makes the other teams post player work for points in the paint. He has a good set of hands and is alert for dump off passes around the rim. He can screen and roll, and run the court.
