Stock Risers in the 2023 Prospect Rankings
Conner Kraft Conner Kraft 6'5" | PF Shanley | 2023 State ND |6-7 F| Fargo Shanley/Howard Pulley New Rank #1 Previous Rank #3
He has really blown up in the last 12 months. When I first saw him play last winter I thought of him as an “athlete”. Now Conner is a skilled basketball player. Kraft’s outside shooting has continued to improve. He had a great summer with Howard Pulley and many high-level division 1 colleges are now interested in Conner. Kraft has shown impressive footwork and some nifty moves when finishing at the basket. He is also a powerful dunker. Kraft is long and super athletic. Conner crushed it at the 250 Expo as well. I am expecting big things out of Conner and the Deacons this winter.
Darik Dissette Darik Dissette 6'4" | SG Minot | 2023 State #300 Nation ND |6-3 G/F| Minot/ND Attack New Rank #4 Previous Rank #5
He was All-State as a sophomore with Minot and he played a huge role in the Magician’s 2nd place finish in the State Tournament. Dissette also had a productive and impressive AAU season. Darik’s 3-point shooting has improved since the last high school season. His 3-point shooting range has also extended. He is a tough defender and a physical cutter. Look for Darik to have a fantastic junior season and for his points per game to increase in a big way.
Alex Dvorak Alex Dvorak 6'1" | PG Dickinson | 2023 State ND |6’0 G| Minot/ND Attack New Rank #5 Previous Rank #10
This kid is a high-powered scoring machine. Alex had multiple 30 point games last high school season. Much like the players above, Dvorak had a very good AAU season. Alex is lightning quick and he plays with a ton of energy. Dvorak is always in “attack mode” and he is ultra skilled. He has a plethora of impressive moves that he uses to keep defenders off balance. He is also bouncy and he can throw down some eye-opening slam dunks. Alex put on an impressive show at the 250 Expo. Expect Dvorak to be an All-State player and one of the highest scorers in all of North Dakota.
Zach Kraft Zach Kraft 6'2" | PG Grand Forks Red River | 2023 State ND |6’0 G| Grand Forks Red River/ECI New Rank #10 Previous Rank #12
He is one of my favorite shooters in North Dakota. Zach had a very nice sophomore season in the EDC. He had an even better run this summer with ECI. Kraft has gone from being a shooter to an all-around player. Look for him to be a much-improved defender in his junior year. He is clearly a gifted ball handler. Kraft is a smart player with a high hoops IQ. I am excited to watch the smooth sniper from Red River this winter.
Jaxon Kellogg Jaxon Kellogg 6'3" | PG Bismarck Legacy | 2023 State ND |6-3 PG| Bismarck Legacy/ND Phenom New Rank #13 Previous Rank #35
He had a spectacular showing this spring/summer with ND PHenom. He shined at some of the biggest events and Jaxon proved that he can compete with top talent. He ran the 1 for Phenom and he did amazingly well as the director of the team. Kellog is a big, strong, playmaking guard. He is very athletic and he does the little things on the court that make his team better. Kellog has the potential to be an elite defender. Expect Jaxon to have a breakout season in the WDA this year.
