In this article:
The Prep Hoops National Rankings will be released very soon for the 2022 class. What players around the nation made the biggest jumps? We jump into that today!
Kyle Filipowski Kyle Filipowski 6'9" | PF Wilbrham & Monson | 2022 State #13 Nation NLG . The 6’10 5-star Duke commit is very skilled but what sets him apart from other players at his size is his motor. Filipowski went from a quality four star prospect to a McDonald’s All American level top ten talent when his rugged approach led to success throughout the 17u season.
Collin Chandler Collin Chandler 6'5" | CG Farmington | 2022 State #28 Nation UT . At 6’4 Chandler’s skilled and ferocious rim attack guard that spent his summer putting up massive scoring numbers. His 35 point performance in Las Vegas in August was the perfect caper on a summer of production. Chandler has visited BYU, Utah, and Oregon this month.
Jordan Walsh Jordan Walsh 6'7" | SF Link Academy | 2022 #31 Nation MO . Walsh is a modern-day stretch four with agility and skill away from the rim. What sets Jordan apart is his elite defensive abilities. Walsh is one of the best frontcourt defenders in the 2022 class. He recently committed to Arkansas over Texas, Kansas, and Arizona State.
Malik Reneau Malik Reneau 6'7" | PF Montverde Academy | 2022 State #33 Nation FL . Another versatile four man at 6’8 who competes with a high motor and approaches each game as a two way battle. Skill and versatility are two of the most important items that college coaches look for and Malik has both. A Florida commit who picked the Gators over Memphis and Florida State.
Jaden Schutt Jaden Schutt 6'5" | SG Yorkville Christian | 2022 State #42 Nation IL . At 6’5 Jaden is considered by many to be the best shooter in this class. Schutt can come at opponents with feet set, off the dribble attack, curling to catch and hit, and any other way you want the shot to come off his hand. Committed to Duke.
Ernest Udeh Ernest Udeh 6'10" | C Dr. Phillips | 2022 State #48 Nation FL . Length. We’ve talked shooting, we’ve talked versatility, and now with Ernest Udeh Ernest Udeh 6'10" | C Dr. Phillips | 2022 State #48 Nation FL we are talking length. Schools love length. Kansas loves the 7’2 length of Ernest Udeh Ernest Udeh 6'10" | C Dr. Phillips | 2022 State #48 Nation FL as the Jayhawks locked the highly rated four star talent down. Udeh also competes with constant effort.
Kam Craft Kam Craft 6'5" | SF TSF | 2022 State #54 Nation GA . Kam is on the short list of players that I will remember as having an incredible summer. The Xavier commit attacked top defenders from around the nation for high percentage shooting numbers and big scoring days in Birmingham (at the Prep Hoops Platform) and at the Peach Jam. Went from a player that was around the top 100 to being a top 50 level talent.
Leon Bond Leon Bond 6'5" | SF Wauwatosa East | 2022 State #62 Nation WI . The trend of skill, hard work, character, and productivity continue. At 6’5 Leon Bond Leon Bond 6'5" | SF Wauwatosa East | 2022 State #62 Nation WI separated himself from others of similar size and agility by being a constant worker. All summer Bond was consistently using his physical gifts to be a consistent defender and scorer. When he’s not competing against others, he’s working on his skills with more effort than most. Top 50 level Virginia commit.
Robert Cowherd Robert Cowherd 6'5" | SG Southern California Academy | 2022 #77 Nation CA-S . Cowherd has a toughness to him that few others have. He rarely changes his facial expression as he looks at the game as a 40 minute possession next play venture as opposed to a quick fix. Cowherd is a top 75 level talent headed to Ole Miss. The Rebels are getting an excellent shooter who made nearly 60 percent of his threes in July at the Prep Hoops Platform event.
Donald Hand Jr. Between Hand and Prince Aligbe, I love the type of player that Boston College is bringing in: tough, aggressive, relentless, versatile types that win. Hand led Team Loaded to a fantastic July including an undefeated showing in Indy at the Prep Hoops 2K21. What I love about Hand is that he puts up good scoring numbers without forcing attempts.
Ryan Agarwal Ryan Agarwal 6'7" | SF Coppell | 2022 State #99 Nation TX . If Jaden Schutt Jaden Schutt 6'5" | SG Yorkville Christian | 2022 State #42 Nation IL is the best shooter in the class, Ryan Agarwal Ryan Agarwal 6'7" | SF Coppell | 2022 State #99 Nation TX is in the conversation as the top shooting forward in the class. At 6’7 Ryan is yet another coveted 2022 that can play as a stretch four. Agarwal has long been committed to Stanford.
