However, there can always be a diamond in the rough so it is important to keep tabs on these players in case there is one that can make the leap.
Luke Rutherford (2023) | 5-11 SG | Pipestem Christian Academy
Luke averaged 13 PPG last season while orchestrating most of the offense. He is a small quick guard that moves without the ball well but needs to improve his defensive game. He is also a solid shooter making over 30% of his threes last year and is likely to continue to improve his jump shot as he has a natural touch. Luke is only a junior this year so he is a player to watch because he could grow into a solid prospect in his senior year.
Harrison Linkous (2022) | 6-1 SG | Morgantown Christian Academy
Averaging an impressive 18 PPG last year for the Mustangs and is the heart and soul of the team. Harrison thrives on defense with his hustle and ability to jump passing lanes. Most of his points came off of his steals so look for him to improve his half-court offense and shooting this year. If he can improve those aspects of his game then he can be a solid role player at a small college.
Tyler Pack (2022) | 6-0 SG | Pipestem Christian Academy
The leader of Pipestem is hoping to help lead his team to a conference championship this year. Tyler shows solid leadership and has a solid game throughout. However, none of his skills are especially dominant and he doesn’t have a consistent method of scoring. If he wants to play in college he will need dramatic improvement this year.
Joshua Fox (2023) | 6-0 SG | Heritage Christian Academy
Joshua averaged just under 13 PPG last year while also snagging over 9 RPG. Some of his numbers were inflated due to his team not being very good last year and playing a weaker schedule than most teams. He has some solid skills but he needs to improve a lot over the next 2 seasons to be a legitimate college prospect but he is still one of the best in the conference.
