Taylor had a steady rise at STAB that saw him gain national recognition and turn into a nationally ranked player, and Syracuse beat out the likes of UVA, VT, UNC, Indiana and others for him. He will be a key part of what should be the top ranked post grad team in the country to start the season.
Justyn Fernandez | 6’5” SG | IMG Post Grad (From VES) ’22
Head Coach Chad Myers continues to strike it hot from his native VA as he lands Fernandez who had a meteoric rise this summer from relatively unknown to a nationally ranked player himself. He is being recruited by a bevy of schools at every level and
Kenyon Giles Kenyon Giles 5'11" | PG Oscar Smith | 2022 NV | 5’9” PG | Silverado (NV) (From Oscar Smith) ’22
Giles was one of the top guards in the 757 the past two years and really came on as a division one prospect as of the last year. While he isn’t the biggest guard, Giles is a dynamic scorer that has good speed and changes pace well, he has effortless range beyond the three-point line both off the catch and off the bounce and he’s a pesky on ball defender and has good fundamentals on both ends. He’ll turn heads in the Sin City from day one with his scoring prowess and dynamic style of play.
Jaden Daughtry Jaden Daughtry 6'6" | SF Benedictine College Prep | 2022 VA | 6’5” F | AZ Compass Prep (From LC Bird) ’22
Daughtry was the Class 5 Region B Player of the Year and an All State Performer last year, and followed it up with a productive summer as well. The 6’5” hybrid forward decided to head to Arizona to pay with AZ Compass Prep, a team that is considered one of the top programs in the country and has a bevy of high major and division one prospects on them already. Daughtry will bring a tough minded, high motor and versatile feel as a forward who can play downhill and above the rim and is very productive on both ends.
Brycen Blaine Brycen Blaine 6'5" | SG LC Bird | 2022 GA | 6’3” CG | Berkmar (GA) (From LC Bird) ‘22
Blaine was another player for LC Bird that had a breakout season last year, and he’ll head to the hotbed of the greater Atlanta metro area where he’ll play at Berkmar. A versatile combo guard that took the junior leap last year, Blaine is a big guard that can score it from multiple levels, is crafty off the bounce and can lock up on the basketball on the defensive end. He’ll have a chance to be a late bloomer on the recruitment scene if he can play that well in GA as well.
John Awoke John Awoke 6'2" | PG Hayfield | 2023 State VA | 6’0” PG | National Christian (From Annandale) ‘23
Awoke is set to have a breakout year moving to National Christian from Annandale where he’ll play against some of the best competition in the DMV. A pass first point guard, Awoke is a true floor general with terrific feel on both ends, he’s excellent in pick-and-roll situations and he’s able to score it off the bounce from multiple levels when he needs to. He sets the tone on both ends and makes an impact in a number of ways.
