When it comes to defense there are a lot of components that go into what makes a defender good or effective. There are some players that protect the rim and others that make life miserable for ball handlers. There are others that play the passing lane well as well as play great help defense. Here is a short list of some tough defenders coming back based on what they showed last season. Players like Trey Evans Trey Evans 6'5" | PG RSL Academy | 2023 State UT and Rex Sunderland Rex Sunderland 6'3" | PG Davis | 2022 State UT do a great job at picking up full-court and making it difficult for players bringing the ball up. MJ Tia MJ Tia 6'3" | SF Cyprus | 2022 State UT , Kam Dupaix Kam Dupaix 6'4" | CG Bingham | 2022 State UT and Yaw Reneer Yaw Reneer 6'5" | CG American Fork | 2022 State UT are players that can switch 1-5 and play at a high level. David Katoa David Katoa 6'4" | CG RSL Academy | 2024 State UT and Cannon Devries Cannon Devries 6'0" | PG Weber | 2022 State UT are players that can just be put on the other teams best player and make life difficult for them. Malick Diallo Malick Diallo 6'9" | C Juan Diego Catholic | 2024 State UT is one of many shot blockers coming back across the state.
