Ethan Berninger – 2025 – Dakota Ridge
Consistency comes to mind when taking away Berninger’s performance last thursday, finishing with 28 points and eight threes. Clearly locked in, Berninger could not miss from beyond the arc, going 8 of 8. All of these shots came off the catch at a standstill and three were contested shots. On multiple occasions, he drove to the rim from a self-created crossover that allowed him to kick out to one of the other shooters. Berninger stands at around 6’3, allowing him the reach to swipe away passes and greater distance to cover on loose balls. His activity on defense was encouraging, where he dove for loose balls multiple times.
Anthony Nettles – 2025 – Douglas County
Although undersized at 5’9, Nettles displayed unique reaction speeds on the defensive end. In his lone game, he had at least four steals, three came off of volleyball type swats that required him to jump up to intercept the pass. Nettles did well on offense, shooting it quickly and in rhythm off the catch. Ballhandling is his clearest strength right now, where he can quickly maneuver around screens or create downhill drives. Once he arrived at the rim, he was excellent finishing with either hand through contact.
Hunter Guiles Hunter Guiles 6'0" | CG Valor Christian | 2023 State CO – 2023 – Valor
Guiles impressed back at the Top 250 Expo and has continued to prove his versatility as a perimeter shot maker. While he is dangerous off the catch, an interesting area of development has been his shooting off the dribble. He possesses above average footwork, allowing him to fade over opposing guards or stop on a dime for a pullup two. The next step for Guiles is finding others, as defenders need to play up on him given his difficult shot making ability.
Matt Yost Matt Yost 6'5" | SF Regis | 2022 State CO – 2022 – Regis Jesuit (pictured above)
Yost has been one of the more consistent performers at the event, averaging an efficient 23 points per game through five games. Composure is his calling card, as he never gets ruffled or intimidated by the defense. His offensive game is dependable and versatile, where he shoots the rock well off the catch or by stepping into the attempt. His release point a textbook, high release above the forehead that leverages his height at 6’5. He showed out finishing around the rim off of cuts, where he was especially consistent with the right hand.
Chase Miller Chase Miller 6'6" Chatfield Senior | 2022 CO – 2022 – Chatfield
Miller has been a pleasant surprise over the past couple weeks, proving he is one of the strongest guys in the gym, averaging 27 points per game through five games. The post is an area he is especially confident leveraging his strength to get defenders off-balance. In those low and mid post areas, Miller did well drawing double teams where he found cutters or shooters. An area Miller has worked on significantly is the jump shot, albeit a funky two motion form, he is absolutely someone you must contest on perimeter shots.
