The league features 22 JV and Varsity teams from around the Las Vegas area. With this being the first taste of high school action in over a year, it offered an opportunity to evaluate a ton of local players under one roof. In this article, a follow up to week 3 standouts, we take a look at some standouts from week 3. (All Fall League Games are Live Streamed and Recorded on the 7outz Channel)
Khamari Taylor Khamari Taylor 5'11" | CG Desert Oasis | 2024 State NV 6’1 CG Sierra Vista 2024 – Taylor is a producer. The CG has shown that he affects the game in a variety of ways outside of scoring. His on-ball defense is legit, and he somehow always seems to manage to come away from the pack with the basketball. He’s sneaky fast in transition, getting out to complete the break. He finished with 9 points for SV on the day.
Kenyon Giles Kenyon Giles 5'10" | PG Silverado | 2022 State NV 5’10 PG Silverado 2022 – Giles has been getting a lot of pub, and for good reason. The PG is a scorer supreme, using quick stop and start ability to separate and pull up on a dime. The Radford commit looks like the real deal.
Elijah Johnson Elijah Johnson 6'1" | SG Rancho | 2022 State NV 6’0 SG Rancho 2022 (featured image) – I thought he played well for the Rams. Johson was able to grab boards, defend and score in transition. I was also impressed with some new wrinkles in his game, including the ability to get paint touches and create for others.
Toby Roberts Toby Roberts 6'4" | SG Centennial | 2023 State NV 6’3 SG Centennial 2023 – Roberts has impressed during the Fall League. He’s one of the best tough shot makers in the league right now. Roberts gets great lift, on his shot, and has good size for the position. Those two traits seem to paralyze opponents, as he has shown the ability to knock down shots with a hand in his face.
Isaac Allen Isaac Allen 6'3" | SF Clover | 2024 State SC 6’2 SF Durango 2024 – Allen is a talented specimen with some athletic tools. He gets off the ground effortlessly on his first jump. and has a quick second jump. He showed high energy and effort this weekend, defending, and grabbing out of area rebounds. He’s part of a bright your core for the Trailblazers.
