In this article, a follow up to Week 1 Standouts Vol 1. we take a look at some of the standouts from week 1. (All Fall League Games are Live Streamed and Recorded on the 7outz Channel)
Emeka Ceaser Emeka Ceaser 5'11" | SG Centennial | 2022 State NV 5’11 CG Centennial 2022 – Ceasar will be a nice change of pace guard for Centennial. The senior has a good frame and good footspeed. He has the ability to stay in front of PGs and is too strong to be taken advantage of in direct post-up situations. He was able to get consistent paint touches for Centennial on Saturday, chipping in 10 points to help them to a victory.
Pharaoh Compton Pharaoh Compton 6'7" | PF Arbor View | 2024 State #74 Nation NV 6’6 SF Spring Valley 2024 (#9PHN 2024) – Compton’s stock just keeps rising. The high flying forward was dominant on Saturday, providing a glimpse of what 4A opponents can expect this season. He was able to finish in transition and rebounded at a high level. Behind his 17 points, Spring Valley cruised to a Week 1 victory.
Dontrell Johnson Dontrell Johnson 6'5" | SF Trinity | 2022 State NV 6’5 SG Bonanza 2022 (#7PHN 2022) (featured image) – Smooth doesn’t begin to describe Johnson’s game. He was able to score in transition but displayed his ever-evolving shooting as well. Johnson paced his squad with 24 points, leading the Tigers to a Week 1 win.
Graydon Lemke Graydon Lemke 6'10" | PF Faith Lutheran | 2024 State NV 6’7 SF Faith Lutheran 2024 (#15PHN 2024) – Lemke is becoming a shooting savant. He showed the ability to knock down shots in catch and shoot, but also added some shooting off the move. The 6’7 forward popped and curled off screens, losing defenders for just enough time and space to raise up and burry jumpers.
Khamari Taylor Khamari Taylor 5'11" | CG Desert Oasis | 2024 State NV 5’11 CG Sierra Vista 2024 (#36PHN 2024) – Taylor is going to be a problem on the defensive end. He was relentless on-ball hounding ballhandlers, or even those just holding the basketball. Taylor is one of the most aggressive defenders in the state. Offensively he was able to put pressure on the defense with strong drives to the rim.
Jack Silberman Jack Silberman 6'4" | SF Faith Lutheran | 2022 State NV 6’3 SG Faith Lutheran 2022 (#52PHN 2022) – Silberman may be one of the more unknown snipers in the city. He shot the ball well on Saturday, showing that he can get his shot off quickly while being accurate against fast closing defenders. He had Faith in the game against Sierra Vista right up until the last minute.
